**AECOM Mississauga is seeking a Construction Management Procurement Lead to join our team.**
**About the Role**
+ We are seeking an experienced Construction/Procurement Manager, responsible for monitoring the procurement of construction, materials, equipment, and services by the contractor for adherence to contractual requirements to promote optimal value, risk allocation, and delivery outcomes.
+ The ideal candidate will bring deep construction procurement process knowledge, especially in heavy civil, rail, and transit infrastructure, and be skilled in scoping subcontractor packages, the request for quotation process, understanding construction means and methods, and leveraging local market conditions to provide input into strategic sourcing decisions.
**Responsibilities:**
+ **Procurement Strategy:** Focussing on construction methodologies and sequencing, support the development and implementation of procurement strategies by the contractor which ensures the owner's interest in terms of value for money are protected while balancing factors such as timely delivery of the project, local capabilities, market capacity, and adherence to technical requirements.
+ **Procurement Process** : monitor the contractor's procurement process including supplier prequalification, scope definition, request for quotation issuance, bid evaluation, subcontract formation, and award recommendation.
+ **Supplier Negotiation:** Review pricing, contractual terms, and delivery schedules of subcontractors proposed by the contractor to assess alignment with contractual requirements, value for money principles and project timelines.
+ **Relationship Management:** Maintaining strong relationships with the contractor, supply chain, and internal stakeholders ensuring effective communication and collaboration to meet project goals and deadlines.
+ **Contract Management:** Reviewing contracts, change orders, and submittals to assess all procurement activities for alignment with project requirements.
+ **Issue Resolution:** Ability to work cooperatively with the contractor and internal stakeholders to manage and resolve any issues related to subcontracting and suppliers to prevent project delays.
**Qualifications**
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
+ Minimum of 8 years of experience in construction management with additional experience in procurement and supply chain management, or a related field.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Ideally of 15 years of experience in construction management with additional experience in procurement and supply chain management, or a related field, with ideally 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
+ Master's degree (e.g., MBA) is preferred but not required.
+ Professional certifications such as Professional Engineer, Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM), and certifications in Construction Management are highly desirable.
+ Excellent, analytical, negotiation and networking skills.
+ Demonstrated ability to balance commercial acumen with technical insight in construction procurement.
+ Conscientious, process oriented, and self-motivated

The open role is for an experienced Construction Project Manager to join the team out of their Mississauga office. They will be responsible for handling client projects from inception / pre-con through to completion. The Project Manager will plan all phases of the construction project lifecycle and update and report on progress to internal stakeholders and clientele. What you'll need to succeed

The successful Construction Project Manager candidate will have a MINIMUM of 5 years as a Project Manager completing projects from inception to completion. They will have an engineering or related degree and PMP certificate is preferred. This Construction Project Manager will have experience working on retail, commercial and/or airport projects in their previous work (please provide project list) . The successful PM will have excellent knowledge of CCDC 2, 5A and B experience, and be an effective communicator who can deal with internal personnel, site staff, engineers, architects, trades and most importantly, clients. Finally, the Construction Project Manager will have excellent time-management skills, be strong at budgeting and experience using Microsoft Project and be able to deal with conflicts and/or issues with projects by using critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Sky Group of Companies is seeking an experienced and results-driven Project Manager to lead construction and renovation projects from inception to completion. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in construction management, budgeting, and leadership to oversee multiple projects and ensure successful delivery within scope, timeline, and budget.


Key Responsibilities:

Project Leadership & Strategy:

  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in alignment with business goals.
  • Develop comprehensive project execution strategies, including risk management and mitigation plans.
  • Lead project teams, ensuring collaboration among internal stakeholders, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize project delivery processes.

Budget & Cost Management:

  • Prepare, manage, and control project budgets, ensuring financial efficiency.
  • Approve expenditures, contracts, and change orders while maintaining cost control.
  • Analyze financial reports and forecasts to proactively address cost overruns.

Risk & Quality Management:

  • Identify and assess project risks, implementing proactive mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Enforce quality control measures through regular site inspections and audits.

Schedule & Resource Management:

  • Develop and manage project timelines, adjusting schedules as needed to meet deadlines.
  • Coordinate workforce, equipment, and material procurement for seamless project execution.
  • Resolve scheduling conflicts and optimize workflow to improve efficiency.

Stakeholder Communication & Reporting:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and key stakeholders.
  • Provide regular project updates and detailed reports on progress, challenges, and solutions.
  • Ensure transparency and accountability in all project-related communications.

Contract & Procurement Oversight:

  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing.
  • Ensure contract compliance and manage vendor relationships effectively.
  • Oversee procurement processes to prevent delays and cost overruns.

Project Closeout & Handover:

  • Oversee final inspections, punch lists, and commissioning processes.
  • Ensure a seamless transition of completed projects to clients, including full documentation.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in construction project management.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Primavera).
  • PMP, CCM, or other relevant certifications are considered an asset.

They specialize predominately in office space, retail and airport projects. Your new role

The open role is for an experienced Construction Project Manager to join the team out of their Mississauga office. They will be responsible for handling client projects from inception / pre-con through to completion. This role will focus on project deliverables, including budget and scheduling, along with strong communication with clients and executing project plans. The Project Manager will plan all phases of the construction project lifecycle and update and report on progress to internal stakeholders and clientele. They will collaborate with the Site Supervisor and coordinator to ensure that deliverables and schedule milestones are met, and collaborate with architects, engineers and other trades to ensure everything is running smoothly. Finally, the PM will be able to mitigate and manage risk, and ensure that safety and building regulations are in compliance.


What you'll need to succeed

The successful Construction Project Manager candidate will have a MINIMUM of 5 years as a Project Manager completing projects from inception to completion. They will have an engineering or related degree and PMP certificate is preferred. This Construction Project Manager will have experience working on retail, commercial and/or airport projects in their previous work (please provide project list) . The successful PM will have excellent knowledge of CCDC 2, 5A and B experience, and be an effective communicator who can deal with internal personnel, site staff, engineers, architects, trades and most importantly, clients. Finally, the Construction Project Manager will have excellent time-management skills, be strong at budgeting and experience using Microsoft Project and be able to deal with conflicts and/or issues with projects by using critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
