- Will own and drive the national customer complaints handling and management in coordination with the site QA or designated person (for third party warehouse and transportation)
- Will support Supply Chain and Transportation in QA related tasks.
- Assist the FS & QA Compliance Manager in the document control.
- Support implementation of Company’s quality management systems at each plant including third party warehouse.
- Provide support to Company’s manufacturing plants in food safety and quality.
- Maintain QA process standards and procedures which include frequency and method of calibrations and recipe set-up, generation of COA’s and related QA documents.
- Assist in the development of corrective action, root cause and prevention plans. Provide written responses to Sales and Customers as required.
- Assist with traceability exercises as needed.
- Conduct scheduled internal and external facility audits (manufacturing plants, warehouses, suppliers) as required.
- Pro-actively work on assigned department tasks and special projects.
- Perform other duties as required
- Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in agriculture, grain, or flour milling.
- Strong knowledge of plant QA systems (HACCP, GFSI/BRCGS).
- Skilled in problem-solving, detail-oriented analysis, and technical documentation.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently and cross-functionally.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; training in Continuous Improvement is an asset.
- Willingness to travel to plant locations as required.

Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the Quality Assurance Coordinator ensures our quality program meets all regulatory, customer, and FeedAssure standards. This includes scheduling and performing internal audits, leading third-party audits, and addressing findings. You’ll work with Quality Teams at all five mill locations to improve the program and resolve issues, and collaborate with Operations and Nutrition on sampling, labeling, and training.Day to Day
- Check and summarize monthly and annual test results from mills and address any issues with corrective actions.
- Attend monthly meetings to address lab issues and update Sampling Plans as needed.
- Track and share key quality metrics like Task Matrix scores and other QA data.
- Compare finished feed results to label guarantees and report to Nutritionists.
- Review and address any issues with in-house testing results.
- Perform internal audits and lead external FeedAssure and CFIA inspections.
- Update HACCP Plans and SOPs and lead the team on implementing new procedures.
- Develop and deliver training plans for quality standards.
- Participate in plant Quality Team Meetings, take notes, and assist with troubleshooting and sampling.
- Review and approve Corrective Action reports, helping with problem-solving and preventative measures.
- Assist in developing testing methods and inspection plans.
- Report on the effectiveness of Mill Quality Teams to the QA Manager.
- Post-Secondary Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Agriculture, Chemistry, or related fields
- Three to Five years’ experience with Food/Feed Safety programs (HACCP / BRC etc) and or similar Quality Management systems.
- Proficiency working in Microsoft Office with programs such as Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint.
- Willing to travel throughout Ontario (Wyoming, Denfield, Listowel, Inkerman) and Saskatoon, SK with home base in Southwestern Ontario

The role:
Reporting to the Director of Food Safety and Quality Assurance, the Manager of Quality Assurance is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the QA team and ensures that all finished goods are within product specifications. This position monitors and maintains QA programs, customer complaints, and quality-related databases. What you'll do:
Maintain and improve the Quality system:
- Act as Incident Owner for all product-related quality events, leading investigations, root cause analysis, and resolution plans.
- Ensure timely communication of investigation results to all stakeholders, including Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, Regulatory Affairs, and external partners if needed.
- Assist with corrective actions and disposition of finished products/raw materials that do not meet specifications.
- Provide guidance and updates to quality assurance technical specifications.
- Manage the Customer complaints database and act as primary contact for customers in all aspects of customer complaints.
- Develop quarterly / yearly customer complaints matrix as requested by internal stakeholders.
- Maintain and oversee the NCR Quality Program database, ensuring accurate corrective action tracking, reporting, and troubleshooting.
- Manage Skala-Aqualab instruments and software, including hardware and supply oversight, instrument verification, software administration and updates, database trending, troubleshooting, and serving as the primary contact for all Skala-related matters.
- Oversee and maintain the Ignition database, including factsheets and packaging data, formula module settings, updates to patterns and lookup tables, SCC code calculations, QA/production spec documentation, and troubleshooting.
- Manage date code processes, including implementing new date code formats and coordinating programming updates in Ignition.
- Generate KPI reports from the customer complaint and NCR database to support performance tracking and continuous improvement on quality related incidents.
- Manage annual renewal of the AAFCO Check Sample Program to ensure continued compliance and participation and collaborate closely with the Laboratory Supervisor and Food Safety Manager to coordinate testing, data review, and reporting requirements.
Leadership:
- Lead a cross-functional team in maintaining and improving quality performance and meeting or exceeding quality standards.
- Provide leadership and guidance to direct reports, fostering a positive work environment and promoting teamwork and collaboration.
- Plan, organize, and prioritize work to ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time. Delegate responsibilities effectively to team members based on their skills and workload.
- Recruit, train, and supervise staff, including conducting performance evaluations, providing feedback, and addressing disciplinary issues when necessary.

**JOB STRUCTURE AND COMMUNICATIONS**
**Job Structure**
+ This job reports to the Quality Control Manager.
+ This job has no formal direct reports but may have oversight of a small group of Quality Control Technicians.
**Communication**
+ Must be able to clearly communicate with Site Managers, Field Engineers and Authorized Inspectors.
+ Must be able to communicate using correct vocabulary.
+ Work under technical supervision and guidance.
**ACCOUNTABILITIES**
+ Undertake moderately complex technical assignments in support of activities that are part of an ongoing quality program.
+ Perform quality control duties on projects/sites including:- Perform monitoring of processes via MITPs.- Ensure procedures are adhered to during project execution.- Verify and maintain training records electronically in GTS or on paper records.- Perform NDE related responsibilities on projects where union jurisdictions allow.
+ Work may be performed in a radiological environment.
+ Perform material receipt and in-process inspections to ensure compliance to BWXT standards, technical specifications and the ASME code.
+ Assist with the review and completion of Work Packages/History Dockets.
+ Assist with procedure and MITP reviews.
+ Perform vendor source inspection as required.
**KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE**
+ Post-secondary NDE/Quality Technologist diploma or related education.
+ 3+ years industry experience required.
+ CGSB Liquid Penetrant Level 2 Certification is a definite asset.
+ CGSB Level 2 Certification in other NDE methods would be an asset.
+ CWB Level 1 or 2 Certification would be an asset.
+ Extensive site work/travel (up to 70%).
+ A NDE background with a solid knowledge of all NDE processes is an asset.
+ Familiarity with the ASME Code.
+ Comfortable working in confined space situations.
+ Comfortable working in a radiation environment.
+ Willing to work nights, weekends and Statutory Holidays.
+ Willing to work in excess of 70 hours per week.

The base salary range for this position in Ontario at the start of employment is expected to be between ((64,000)) and ((90,000)) per year.
