Role Summary

Avahi is seeking a Chief Architect, AI/ML to lead our AI strategy, drive innovation and oversee AI solution development for our customers. This role requires deep expertise in AI/ML, cloud computing, and scalable architectures. You will collaborate closely with AWS, customers, and internal teams to deliver transformative AI solutions that enhance business performance and unlock new opportunities.

As a thought leader in the AI space, you will spearhead Avahi's AI roadmap, and shape AI consultancy offerings to position Avahi at the forefront of AI innovation.


Key Responsibilities

AI Strategy & Vision

  • Define and execute Avahis AI strategy, aligning with AWS advancements and market trends.
  • Develop AI frameworks, methodologies, and best practices that drive customer success.

Leadership & Execution

  • Lead the development of AI-driven solutions, collaborating with engineering, data scientists, and consulting teams.
  • Oversee MLOps, scalable AI architectures, and automation to streamline AI adoption.
  • Drive execution of AI-powered transformation projects, ensuring scalability, performance, and cost efficiency.

Customer & AWS Engagement

  • Serve as a trusted AI advisor to customers, designing AI solutions that integrate seamlessly with AWS services.
  • Strengthen Avahis presence in the AWS AI/ML ecosystem by leveraging services like Bedrock, SageMaker, and AI-powered analytics.
  • Engage with C-level executives, CTOs, and AI/ML leaders to translate AI capabilities into business impact.

Emerging AI Technologies & Thought Leadership

  • Stay ahead of emerging AI trends, including Generative AI (GenAI), Large Language Models (LLMs), and Responsible AI.
  • Research, evaluate, and integrate emerging AI/ML technologies, ensuring Avahis offerings remain cutting-edge.
  • Represent Avahi in conferences, webinars, whitepapers, and open-source AI initiatives.

Product & SDK Development

  • Oversee the evolution of Avahis open-source SDK for Bedrock adoption and AI-driven platform solutions.
  • Define the vision and roadmap for internal AI tooling to enhance AI/ML deployments for clients.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in AI/ML, with at least 5 years in AWS roles.
  • Deep technical expertise in AWS AI/ML services, including Bedrock, SageMaker, Comprehend, Transcribe, and Textract.
  • Strong background in GenAI, LLMs, prompt engineering, and responsible AI practices.
  • Experience in AI solution architecture, MLOps, and scalable AI deployments.
  • Proven track record of delivering AI-powered business impact at scale.
  • Ability to engage with C-level executives and translate AI capabilities into real business value.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities in AI/ML solution development.
  • Prior experience working at AWS or as an AWS Partner is an asset.

The Role_

// Masabi is hiring a Chief Architect, a collaborative, deeply technical and hands-on leader to shape our technology strategy, embed architectural standards and lead our Data and AI vision for our multi-tenant SaaS platform.

You’ll be Masabi’s key architectural partner, trusted for your clarity, technical insight, and ability to bring people with you. You’ll work across all levels of the organisation to ensure that our architecture supports scalability, resilience, security, and developer experience as we grow.

You’ll partner closely with the CPO and VP of Engineering to co-own strategic implementation, switching easily between 10,000-foot architecture and working in the codebase. You’ll lead our team of four Principal Engineers, supporting their growth, aligning them on technical direction, and fostering collaboration across squads and domains.

You’ll also champion thoughtful, responsible adoption of AI/ML capabilities, both as product features and to enhance developer workflows, embedding AI in ways that deliver meaningful value and long-term impact.

Responsibilities_

Architectural Leadership
  • Partner with the VP of Engineering to define and evolve our long-term architectural vision, acting as the ultimate design authority while aligning with delivery priorities

  • Own the architectural direction of Masabi’s multi-tenant SaaS platform, with a strategic focus on AI and Data as innovation streams

  • Integrate and balance architectural direction, performance, compliance, and security into a single, outcome-oriented plan

  • Establish and embed architectural principles and participate in key design decisions to support alignment across teams

  • Promote best practices in system design, infrastructure design, reliability, observability, and performance

  • Stay actively engaged with code, tools, and infrastructure, leading through shared standards, not gatekeeping

  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and platform teams to de-risk decisions and enable confident delivery

AI Enablement & Technical Innovation
  • Identify and nurture opportunities to embed AI/ML into our platform and engineering processes, ensuring value to customers and teams

  • Act as a supportive expert in Data and AI development, guiding standards, contributing to code, and enabling scalable, responsible implementation

  • Evaluate and recommend emerging tools and practices that improve scalability, reliability, and developer experience

  • Partner with Product and Engineering to develop a team that identifies and pilots AI-enabled capabilities that can be commercialised and scaled into the Masabi platform

Technical Influence & Team Alignment
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering leadership to align platform strategy with technical sustainability and scale

  • Mentor and coach Principal Engineers and other senior ICs, investing in technical leadership development

  • Partner with the VP of Engineering to ensure teams deliver against a coherent architecture, while maintaining agility and shared ownership

Security, Resilience & Compliance
  • Collaborate with platform and security teams to ensure alignment with compliance standards (SOC2, ISO27001, PCI)

Job Purpose

We are seeking an experienced Architect to join the Projects Realization Division within the Public Affairs Special Projects Department at Saudi Aramco. The division is responsible for planning, designing, reviewing the architectural design and engineering, and overseeing the execution of high-quality, functional, and sustainable non-industrial buildings that support the company’s operational and community development goals.

Your Opportunity
As a key contributor on our professional integrated / multi-disciplinary Architecture and Engineering practice for Northern Canada, you will work both collaboratively and independently to assist clients through the planning and creation of fiscally responsible, award-winning designs. Your Key Responsibilities
- Managing complex tasks on multiple, large scope, highly complex projects
- Effectively participates and helps to win work in interviews for potential projects
- Plans, organizes, and directs the work throughout the life of the project to successfully deliver the project to the client
