The role

We are seeking a passionate Data analyst to help us unlock the power of data for our customers.

In this role, you'll work end-to-end, from data collection to customer-facing insights , taking full ownership of data science initiatives that directly impact our product and customer success. You'll also have the opportunity to build data insights, create predictive models , and develop AI-powered features that help fitness businesses make smarter decisions.

Key responsibilities
  • Customer Insights & Analytics : Build dashboards, reports, and data visualizations that help fitness businesses understand their member behavior, retention patterns, and operational efficiency
  • Business Intelligence : Create and maintain BI solutions that provide actionable insights for both internal teams and customers
  • Support Customer Success & Support Teams : Collaborate with CSMs and support staff to build, import, and validate custom data sets for customers. Assist teams in troubleshooting data issues and delivering tailored analytics solutions that meet unique client requirements.
  • Machine Learning & AI Development : Design and implement ML models for churn prediction, revenue forecasting, and member engagement optimization
  • GenAI & Agent Development: Explore and implement generative AI solutions and AI agents to enhance customer experience and automate business processes

Requirements

Essential:

  • 3-5 years of experience in data science, preferably in B2B SaaS or startup environment
  • Proficiency in Python for data analysis, machine learning, and automation
  • Strong experience with BI tools and data visualization (Tableau, Power BI, or similar)
  • Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks
  • SQL proficiency for data extraction and manipulation
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work independently and take full ownership of projects
  • Experience presenting technical findings to non-technical stakeholders

Preferred:

  • Experience with GenAI tools (OpenAI API, LangChain, or similar)
  • Knowledge of AI agents and automation frameworks
  • French language skills
  • Previous experience in fitness/wellness industry (professional or personal)

We’re hiring a strategic, business-savvy Reporting & Insights Analyst who not only mines our existing data with expert SQL, but also scouts, evaluates and champions new data sources to fuel our marketing and customer-experience initiatives. You’ll partner closely with Data Scientists, Data Analysts and BI Developers, translate complex metrics into clear bilingual narratives, and drive actionable insights that align with business goals.
Responsibilities
Data Querying & Exploration Craft and optimize SQL SELECT queries against our data warehouse and transactional systems.
Apply deep knowledge of schemas, relationships and business rules to pull exactly the data you need

Source Identification & Integration Planning Collaborate with marketing & CRM teams to pinpoint gaps in our data coverage.
Research, evaluate and recommend new hard (third-party, CRM extensions, POS add-ons) and soft (surveys, social listening, focus groups) data sources.
Work with Stakeholders and BI to define ingestion requirements, data quality measures and prioritization.

360° Reporting & Dashboards Aggregate both existing and proposed data extracts (Google Analytics 4, CRM, POS, NPS surveys, ad platforms, etc.) into unified reports.
Coordinate with BI Developers to enhance and maintain dashboards (Power BI, Tableau, Looker).

Insight Generation & Attribution Conduct trend, segmentation and simple attribution analyses to measure campaign effectiveness and customer journey touchpoints.
Validate assumptions and results against business definitions and collaborate with Data Scientists on advanced modeling needs.

Storytelling & Stakeholder Communication Transform data findings into compelling bilingual slide decks and executive summaries.
Present insights to varied audiences-from frontline marketing coordinators to the C-suite-tailoring your message and level of detail.

Cross-Functional Collaboration Serve as the analytics liaison to Marketing, CX, CRM and Product teams-gathering requirements, aligning on priorities and ensuring data solutions meet business objectives.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, data-governance councils and vendor-evaluation sessions as needed.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Analytics or related field.
3 + years’ experience in a marketing-oriented analytics or reporting role.
Proven track record identifying and integrating new data sources to support business initiatives.
Expert SQL skills for querying and data exploration (no ETL or table-creation required).
Solid understanding of data-warehouse concepts (fact tables, dimensions, slowly changing dims).
Hands-on experience with Google Analytics 4 and translating web metrics into marketing insights.
Exceptional written and verbal communication in English and French.
Strong business acumen, critical thinking and attention to data integrity.

As a Data Analyst at FlexPay, you will play a key role in transforming complex data into actionable insights that support decision-making, improve merchant performance, and drive strategic growth across the business.

A day in the life of this position includes

  • Conducting deep-dive analyses into transactional and merchant performance data to identify patterns, trends and anomalies
  • Collecting and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data to improve internal processes and client outcomes
  • Creating and maintaining clear, actionable reports and data visualizations to be used internally and externally
  • Providing proof of value reporting to clients, showcasing performance improvements and ROI
  • Translating complex data sets into clear, compelling insights and recommendations

What Were Looking For

  • Masters degree in science, mathematics, economics or a related field (preferred but not required)
  • 1+ year of experience in data analysis, research, or analytics-adjacent role
  • Strong Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and ETL for data cleaning and transformation
  • Strong data storytelling skills with a business-focused mindset
  • Experience with PowerBI and SQL
  • Experience with transactional/payment data preferred but not required
  • Ability to translate business questions into analytical problems and clearly communicate results
  • Comfortable presenting findings to internal stakeholders and clients, speaking confidently to insights
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • A passion for data, data visualization, and using analytics to drive decision making
  • Inquisitive mindset, you ask questions, dig deep, and care about data integrity
  • Demonstrated ability to work with ambiguity and maintain a sense of urgency
  • Mindset of curiosity toward AI, a demonstrated willingness to experiment with it, and an ability to think strategically about how AI can amplify their work
