Senior Software Developer (Remote within Canada)

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the Senior Software Developer is responsible for the development, design, and documentation of the new or modified software products and ongoing business projects of Multiview Financial Software.


As a Senior Software Developer at Multiview, you will take the lead on one or more critical areas supporting Multiviews flagship web application. You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing and supporting new features, as well as refactoring existing code bases towards Multiview's future architecture roadmap. This role will play a leading role in designing the solution from the ground up and giving users an experience they will love.

  • Own, design and develop software solutions as part of a cross-functional team, according to Multiviews SDLC

  • Propose and actively contribute to improving the overall architecture and design of Multiview's flagship product

  • Own and drive the advancements of critical areas of the software

  • Post-secondary degree in Computer Science (or related) and at least 7 years of progressive development experience

  • At least 5 years experience with Web application development

  • Expert in C# and ASP .NET

  • Experience in at least one web front end framework (React, Angular, Vue) is a significant plus

  • Expert in HTML, CSS and JavaScript/TypeScript

  • Experience with the tools of the trade (Visual Studio, VSCode, GitHub, Jira)

  • SQL or PL/SQL knowledge is a must with good Oracle Database understanding

  • Familiarity with AWS environments is a bonus

  • Familiarity with Agile practices and concepts

  • Familiarity with an ERP system is a bonus

You’ll contribute to both maintenance and new development of a complex, embedded system supporting defence initiatives. The current codebase is primarily written in ADA, with new work in Python and C/C++.

  • Develop and maintain low-level software and embedded systems
  • Perform bitwise operations and memory management
  • Work with device drivers and message-passing protocols
  • Provide support for system engineering and modular, scalable codebases
  • Participate in troubleshooting and improving system stability
  • Collaborate with team members on new features and technical enhancements
Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years experience with embedded systems or low-level development
  • C and/or C++ OR modern, complex full-stack web development experience with JavaScript/ TypeScript, Angular/ React and Node.js) 
  • Strong understanding of integration and design patterns  
  • Experience with full-stack development  
  • Knowledge of security and security by design principles

At Autodesk's Preconstruction group, we provide general contractors and subcontractors with innovative solutions to the construction paper problem during the bidding phase. Our current focus is on unifying the bidding experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC). Our team is looking for a Full-Stack Software Engineer who is experienced in Node.js, React, and other modern web technologies, The ideal candidate is passionate about customer experience, enjoys working other team members, and strives to make impactful contributions. **Responsibilities**
+ Design, code, test, debug, and document new and existing features to ensure the application meets business, quality, and operational requirements
+ Break down complex initiatives into manageable chunks
+ Collaborate closely with UX Designers. Product Managers, SDETs, and other Software Engineers
+ Focus on quality through writing unit/integration tests and performing refactoring when necessary
+ Work in a small agile team, following a sprint methodology
+ Actively participate in code reviews and contribute to technical discussions
