We are hiring a Full-Stack Web Developer (Digital Experience Platforms) to join our growing company for permanent employment. We're seeking an experienced developer with 5+ years of web development experience to work directly with clients, building modern web applications that enhance their digital experiences. As a client-facing Full-Stack Web Developer , you will spend significant time on-site at client locations, translating business requirements into compelling user experiences while contributing to all phases of the development lifecycle.



This is a hybrid role, and the candidate must work from the Toronto office 3 days/ week.



What will you do?

  • Work directly with Veriday team members and clients on-site to understand requirements, present solutions, and deliver exceptional user experiences.
  • Design and develop responsive web interfaces using React , HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
  • Build full-stack solutions leveraging Liferay DXP, Java , and modern web technologies to create high-performance applications.
  • Present technical approaches and progress to both technical and business stakeholders
  • Represent our company professionally in all client interactions
  • Participate in all phases of development from planning to deployment
  • Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code with a focus on accessibility, user experience and performance.
  • Integrate web applications with custom APIs.
  • Collaborate with onshore and offshore teams to successfully deliver projects on time.



What do you need to succeed?



Core Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related discipline with 4+ years of experience in web development.
  • Strong frontend development skills - HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript , responsive design
  • Proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks - React
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.



Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with enterprise content management systems or digital experience platforms
  • Accessibility Standards Knowledge (AODA)
  • Web services and API development
  • Experience integrating with CRM, ERP, or other business systems
  • Knowledge of deployment tools and processes

What You'll Do

Cognota is looking for a capable and collaborative Full Stack Software Developer to join our product engineering team. This intermediate-level role is ideal for someone with a few years of experience in modern web development, who is looking to take on meaningful responsibility and grow their technical skills and experience. You’ll work closely with other developers, designers, and stakeholders to build scalable, reliable features that align with our business goals.

  • Develop features across the full stack using technologies like React, Express.js, Node.js, NestJS, PostgreSQL, and Redis
  • Collaborate with other engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver user-focused solutions
  • Participate in and contribute to code reviews, architecture discussions, and agile ceremonies
  • Write clean, testable, maintainable code, and help identify opportunities to improve quality
  • Support continuous integration and delivery pipelines and contribute to testing strategies

Required

  • 3–5 years of experience in full-stack development (or equivalent)
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript
  • Experience with frontend frameworks like React and backend tools like Node.js
  • Understanding of RESTful APIs, databases (PostgreSQL, Redis), and Git
  • Familiarity with cloud services like AWS (ECS, RDS, S3) and container tools like Docker
  • Exposure to CI/CD processes and automated testing
     

It's a Bonus If You Have

  • Experience with Kafka or event-driven architectures
  • Worked on multi-tenant or high-availability systems
  • Open-source contributions or personal coding project
