Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting new student orientations every Monday morning
- Scanning and filing student documents
- Updating student records in our CRM system
- Processing course changes in our CRM
- Helping respond to new leads via email or phone and follow up as and when required
- Assisting with general administrative tasks in the Student Services team
- Helping with student activities and accommodation
- Assist with special projects as assigned by the Line Manager or Centre Director
- Other ad hoc duties assigned
Requirements:
- Experience working in an education or administrative setting
- Post-secondary education in a relevant field such as Education, Business Administration, or a related discipline
- Strong understanding of student services and support processes
- Excellent computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and database systems
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills

As a **Support Solutions Student** and depending on your assigned project, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team by:
+ Resolves process related system support issues.
+ Logs and respond to technology related issues and requests.
+ Works with various support teams to effectively resolve incidents and problems.
+ Provides advice and training to users in response to identified difficulties.
+ Consults user guides, technical manual and other sources to research and implement solutions.
+ Maintains support procedures and processes.
+ Communicates known errors and issues to users.

OVERVIEW AND OBJECTIVES OF THE POSITION:
The Student Services Officer position is responsible for supporting with welcome desk management and ensuring the best quality of service for the school community. This is a contractual, part-time position of up to 20 hours per week, ending on June 30, 2026.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage office operations, supplies, and organization.
- Greet and assist visitors, students, and faculty professionally.
- Handle mail distribution, document requests, and clerical tasks.
- Book meetings and manage room reservations.
- Oversee welcome desk operations for smooth daily functions.
- Triage student inquiries and direct them appropriately.
- Assist the Student Success Team with email tagging, responses, deferrals, course drops, program changes, and misconduct record audits.
- Support the Academic Team with event promotion, social media, website updates, and student portal management.
- Maintain accurate student records and progress updates in the database.
- Assist with test invigilation as needed.
- Other duties as required.
ESSENTIAL SKLLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
- Understanding of academic expectations and the difficulties faced by international students undertaking post-secondary studies, particularly transitional issues.
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple issues/tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team setting as well as independently.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of products, internet and intranet technologies.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work for long periods of time at a workstation or desk and must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 75% of the time. The person in this position frequently communicates with students and staff and must be able to converse with others in an exchange of accurate information in a clear and concise manner. The employee will need to frequently move about inside the office and around partner campus locations to access files and interact with students and other staff members.
The person in this position constantly operates a computer and other office equipment such as copy machines, projectors, and phones. The employee may be required to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing up to 25 pounds such as boxes of supplies or event merchandise. The person in this position will frequently review student or staff documents and must be able to detect detail and transfer information as needed to internal systems.

We are looking for a post-secondary placement student to join our Operations and Facilities Team. The placement student will assist and provide operational and administrative support to the operations and facilities team, contributing to the smooth day-to-day functioning of the agency.
Through this work, the Facilities and Operations assistant will help ensure that CMHA Peel Dufferin services across all office locations can be delivered with high quality and availability.
The placements are unpaid and will be up to 4 months long and for students looking to complete preferably 300 or more placement hours, beginning in Winter 2026. This placement has alternating shifts between 8:30AM to 7:00PM.
Status: Unpaid Post-Secondary Student Placement
Location: Hurontario St., Brampton. Due to the nature of this program, this role is hybrid.
What You Will Do:
- Support internal teams by gathering requirements for process improvements and potential cross-functional solutions.
- Assist with the creation of an environmental stewardship program for the agency.
- Complete regular access card audits and assist in maintaining up-to-date records of staff access and office security protocols.
- Create and update internal signage, ensuring that important health, safety, and operational notices are clearly displayed throughout agency facilities
- Help coordinate internal and external meetings, including room bookings, setup.
- Support small/ ongoing projects and tasks, including follow-ups and tracking action items for internal process initiatives.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to agency privacy policies and ethical guidelines at all times.
- Participate in team meetings and relevant training sessions as part of the learning experience.
- Provide general assistance to the Operational Services team as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
