We are seeking a Transportation Manager with experience in managing vehicle logistics and driving operational efficiency. You will be part of a dynamic team responsible for logistics services in your assigned market. You will be involved in coordinating the daily operations of drive-away and sublet transport services for vehicles to/from our customers at the Vehicle Logistics Centers (VLCs). Reporting to the Sr Manager, Logistics Operations, this role will collaborate with the market logistics team on a daily basis.
You will also collaborate with Vehicle Logistics Center (VLC) operations and customer support teams in your assigned region on a regular basis.
You will oversee a team of drivers, administrative clerks, dispatchers and supervisors (if applicable) .

Attract, engage, and retain talent, ensuring all employees are thoroughly familiar with safe work processes and operating procedures.
Serve as the primary transportation contact for the local Vehicle Logistics Center (VLC), resolving customer concerns and setting a high standard of satisfaction.
Be accountable for the market's financial performance, using KPIs and standardized reports to monitor spending, manage costs, and forecast against actuals.
Manage the safe, efficient, and profitable movement of fleet lease, factory, and consignment vehicles by ensuring all processes meet or exceed SLA standards.
Promote a safe work environment by ensuring department-specific safety tasks are completed in accordance with the safety program.
Support initiatives by engaging in their development, deployment, and change management.
Must Haves:
3-5 Years’ of related experience in a logistics or dispatching role
3-5 years supervisory experience
Tech-savvy, and comfortable using Google Suite
Excellent interpersonal, leadership and communication skills
Ability to maintain calm and diplomatic in dispute resolution situations
Autonomous, self-driven, proactive and a team player
Excellent organizational, time management and prioritization skills with the ability to juggle demands and meet deadlines
Nice to Haves:
Related-post secondary education preferred
Proficient in Google applications
CRM experience (SalesForce, Five9 preferred)

POSITION: Transportation Coordinator
LOCATION: Mississauga, ON
SHIFTS / PAY:
- Monday to Friday (Day & Afternoon Shifts – flexibility required)

JOB DETAILS:
Responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating transportation services to ensure customer commitments are met.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, schedule, and confirm services to achieve customer commitments
- Coordinate fulfillment of customer orders with the warehouse operations team
- Manage outbound shipment requirements and scheduling
- Track and trace executed shipments, confirm proof of delivery, and update TMS system as required
- Daily interaction with service providers, vendors, customers, and employees across locations and levels
- Manage incidents and implement contingency plans to maintain service levels
- Prepare and complete management reports as required
- Perform day-to-day billing audits for AP/AR on assigned accounts
- Ensure weekly and monthly billing SLA’s are met
- Communicate effectively with warehouse and transportation departments regarding potential issues impacting customers
- Review service provider performance to ensure requirements are met
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and efficiency gains
- Other related duties or projects as required
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2–5 years of experience in Transportation and/or Warehouse Operations (or related)
- College diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business (asset)
- Previous experience with E-Commerce transportation and B2C order management (asset)
- Familiarity with TruckMate or other TMS system (asset)
- SAP experience (asset)
- Strong organizational, analytical, and detail orientation skills
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision

Reporting to the Manager, Transportation Asset Management and with functional guidance from the Transportation Infrastructure Coordinator, this position will be a key member of the team responsible for the development and implementation of the City's asset management programs for various road related assets.
Duties and Responsibilities- Support the planning, development, and/or management of the inventory and assessment program for sidewalks, multi-use trails, road pavement, noise walls, guide-rails, and other road related assets, as assigned. This includes the review and update of asset and attribute information in the City's INFOR, ESRI GIS and other asset management systems;
- Support the preparation of the 10-Year Capital Program and Budget for road related asset rehabilitation and replacement, including the analysis and prioritization of needs, tracking of tenders and pricing trends, and development of unit costs for project budget requirements;
- Support the development of asset management plans for sidewalks, multi-use trails, road pavement, noise walls, guide-rails, and other road related assets, as assigned;
- Investigate and respond to requests for information received from residents, staff and members of Council;
- Conduct on-site investigations, inspections and required testing to assess asset needs;
- Coordinate project planning activities for the replacement and installation of road related assets, including the preparation of the scope of work;
- Assist with or lead the procurement and management of professional services contracts as required;
- Represent the Transportation Asset Management team at internal and external meetings;
- Liaise with internal staff and external agencies and stakeholders to support the preparation of Capital Plans and other initiatives;
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Post-secondary graduate of a Civil Engineering and/or Transportation Engineering Technology program or other related engineering or applied science program is required;
- 3-5 years of progressive municipal experience pertaining to the planning, management, and maintenance of transportation infrastructure;
- Certified or eligible for certification with OACETT as a Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.);
- Must have the ability to provide their own transportation options to various City sites;
- Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills;
- Ability to represent the Transportation Asset Management team at meetings with the public and other stakeholders;
- Sound judgement and ability to carry out work assignments independently and as part of a divisional team;
- Experience with the management of inventories and datasets;
- Familiarity with MS Office, INFOR (IPS 8) Enterprise, and ESRI GIS applications is an asset.
Hourly Rate/Salary: $ 78, $ 104,806.00
