In this position, you will be responsible for:

As an Implementation and Business process-focused Application Specialist in our Professional Services department, you’ll drive the data collection and configuration of the Tecsys solution collaborating with the project team to identify customer needs and define business processes. Teamwork is essential to what we do! You’ll build an on-site rapport with customers to guide them in their integration of the Tecsys software. Thanks to your application knowledge (we’ll train you!), consulting acumen, people skills, and supply chain expertise you will be a key contributor to a successful implementation.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of direct software implementation and consulting experience working at a consulting or software company or
  • 5+ years of being a product/solution specialist with direct software implementation experience working on the customer side
  • Demonstrated experience working in/with:
    • Inventory, distribution management and/or ERP supply chain software implementations
    • Business process requirement definition, software configuration, data loading, testing, and training
  • You also have operational experience and knowledge in one or more of the following areas:
    • Inventory and Order Management
    • Forecasting, Demand & Supply Planning
    • General Ledger, A/P, A/R, Chart of Accounts & Financial Statements
    • Logistical Activities
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting aptitude
  • Flexibility and self-learning ability
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills
  • Strong proficiency in both written and verbal English communication essential for effective correspondence with clients, suppliers, business partners and colleagues beyond the province of Quebec. This role also requires you to be fully bilingual in both French and English.

Job Description

The Director of Procurement and Transportation is responsible for the operational management of purchasing, procurement, and transportation activities for all components, raw materials, and finished products related to camera manufacturing. He/she ensures optimal resource availability while controlling costs, deadlines, and quality, in accordance with the company's technical and commercial requirements.

YOUR NEXT CHALLENGES:

Procurement:

  • Define and lead the procurement of electronic, optical, mechanical components, etc.
  • Select, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers, ensuring quality, reliability, and competitiveness.
  • Supervise order management, inventory, and purchasing forecasts in conjunction with production.
  • Monitor supplier markets (prices, innovation, availability).

Transportation:

  • Organize and optimize incoming logistics flows (procurement).

  • Establish performance indicators (KPIs) to measure transport efficiency, service rates, etc.
  • Manage relationships with transport providers.

Team management and continuous improvement:

  • Implement a continuous improvement process: cost reduction, optimization of deadlines, digitization of processes.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects (new product launches, opening of new markets, quality certifications).
Qualifications

  • Experience applying and using continuous improvement tools or lean six sigma methodology (RCA, VSM, 5W2H, Loss analysis, 5S, Visual control Management, etc…).

  • Stakeholder management abilities; demonstrated ability to develop stakeholder relationships and building collaborative processes, as well as the ability to mobilize, coach, and drive accountability with peers and other functional leaders through influence.

  • Critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills; proactive nature and willingness to challenge existing processes and propose new solutions.

  • Project management skills; demonstrated ability to lead and manage complex transformation projects from inception to implementation; proven track record of successful system or logistics network implementations involving change management.

  • Communication skills; demonstrated ability to clearly and concisely communicate with all levels of the organization and with every business unit to persuade and lead others in challenging situations.

  • Knowledge of the operating principles of a warehouse management system (Blue Yonder WMS, an asset), or Transportation management system (OTM an asset), or replenishment management system (Sidma / JDA an asset)

  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel.

  • Ability to travel to Calgary (AB) or Milton (ON).
