About the Role
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented UX/UI Designer to join our remote team. In this role, you'll collaborate cross-functionally to design user-centric digital experiences that are intuitive, visually engaging, and aligned with business goals. You'll play a critical role in shaping the look and feel of our products, from wireframes to high-fidelity prototypes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and prototype intuitive, accessible, and visually appealing user interfaces
- Create user flows, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes using Figma and FigJam
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders using tools like Jira , ClickUp , and Confluence
- Conduct and analyze user testing and research using platforms like TryMata to inform design decisions
- Maintain and evolve design systems and UI libraries
- Ensure a seamless user experience across desktop and mobile platforms
- Iterate on feedback to continuously improve product usability and aesthetics
Requirements
- Proven experience as a UX/UI Designer or similar role

We are hiring a full-time UI/UX Designer to join our product team. This is a high-impact role for someone who wants to design meaningful user experiences, set the tone for design culture, and directly influence the way our products evolve.
As our founding designer, you’ll be shaping how we approach user research, design systems, and product storytelling across mobile, web, and data-rich environments.
What You’ll DoUser-Centered Product Design
- Conduct user research (interviews, surveys, usability testing) to understand customer needs and pain points.
- Translate research insights into user journeys, personas, and workflows.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and polished UI designs that balance usability, aesthetics, and technical feasibility.
- Define design patterns and contribute to building a scalable design system.
Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Focus on clarity, interactivity, and storytelling in data-heavy contexts.
Leadership & Practice Building
- Introduce and champion best practices in UI/UX design (design systems, accessibility standards, usability testing frameworks).
- Educate and guide internal stakeholders on user-centered design principles.
- Lay the foundation for future designers to join and thrive as the team grows.
Requirements
What We’re Looking For- 3–6+ years of professional experience as a UI/UX designer (startup or enterprise).
- Strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end design process: research → wireframes → prototypes → final UI.
- Proven experience in mobile and responsive web applications.
- Hands-on experience with data visualization, dashboards, or analytics tools.
- Proficiency in design tools like Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills — able to bridge product, engineering, and business teams.
- Comfortable taking initiative, making design decisions, and being the voice of design in the company.
- Experience in healthcare, enterprise SaaS, or regulated industries.
- Familiarity with design systems, accessibility standards (WCAG), and responsive frameworks.
- Motion design or micro-interactions expertise to enhance user delight.

DWP is looking for multiple UI/UX DESIGNERs across Canada to work on a NATO defence-related project. This role can be done remotely.
Job Duties may include:
· Supporting product teams by applying User-Centered Design (UCD) best practices throughout the software lifecycle.
· Engage with end users through the agile product development process to ensure solutions meet operational needs.
· Establish feedback loops with customers and apply the Build–Measure–Learn cycle to guide iterative product development.
· Conducting user research, including interviews, usability testing, and surveys, to validate design assumptions.
· Creating design artifacts such as sketches, flows, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes.
· Ensure all design work complies with accessibility standards and follows industry best practices for inclusive design.
· Collaborating with Product Managers on backlog refinement and prioritization to align design priorities with business value.
· Provide clarification to developers during implementation to ensure user expectations are met.
· Collaborate within cross-functional Agile/DevSecOps teams, actively participating in standups, demos, and retrospectives.
· Present and communicate design decisions effectively to stakeholders and senior leadership.
Qualifications
· Proven UI/UX industry experience on complex web and/or mobile application design projects.
· Strong skills in user research, usability testing, and user-centered design methods.
· Experience collaborating in Agile/DevSecOps environments, including backlog refinement with Product Managers.
· Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Axure, InVision).
· Knowledge and practical application of accessibility standards (WCAG, Section 508) and inclusive design principles.
· Experience producing deliverables such as wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high- fidelity mockups.
· Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
· Portfolio of work demonstrating past design solutions and methodology.
· Certification in UI/UX or related field (UI Design, UX Analyst, Human-Centered Design) desirable.
· University degree in Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Human Factors, Human Centered Design/Engineering, or related discipline desirable.
Preferred
· Experience in developing innovative digital products for NATO or with the Department of National Defence
