**Job Description:**
Parsons is looking for amazingly talented **Water Treatment Operators (WTO)** to join our team! In these roles you will get to **play a crucial role in the successful operation and maintenance** **of all water treatment plant equipment and related water storage and conveyance facilities at the Faro Mine Complex.**
Note: These roles are for both current and ongoing needs. As such, responses to your application may be delayed as opportunities come available.
_Local Candidates preferred but open to candidates who are available on a fly-in/fly-out rotational basis._
_Positions begin on a Temporary Fixed-Term basis with the potential to move to a regular, full-time role in the future._
_These positions work shifts of 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off with 12 hours per shift. Shifts will comprise of both day and night shifts during your rotation. The compensation rate for these positions currently begins in the mid 20s on an hourly basis for entry-level and determined by experience. Most will be offered the entry level rate. These roles include paid travel to and from the site as well as housing accommodations, but employees are responsible for providing their own food/meals._
**What You'll Be Doing:**
As a WTO you will perform a variety of various functions that may include the following:
+ Operation and monitoring of water treatment facilities.
+ Maintain, manage, and troubleshoot equipment including pumps and piping.
+ Work near and around large diesel powered pumps and generators.
+ Work 12-hour day and night shifts as scheduled, in a combination of indoor and outdoor environments.
+ Complete timely and accurate daily records of plant and pumping performance.
+ Conduct daily site inspections and record observations.
+ Notify supervisor of any issues relating to the water treatment process, pumps, and pipelines, with detailed observations of abnormal conditions.
+ Always maintain a high standard of housekeeping.
+ Engage in all forms of labour to assist in the successful operation of all water treatment processes.
+ Assist site trades and services personnel as required.
+ Attend training sessions as required.
+ Complete Health and Safety (H&S) training related to on-site policies and company requirements and adhere to requirements while performing work.
+ Complete chemical handling training and adhere to requirements while performing work.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
+ Participate in mine rescue training.
+ Participate in first aid training.
**What Required Skills You'll Bring:**
+ Previous water treatment, process or industrial experience preferred.
+ Valid class 5 driver's license required.
+ Both off pavement and winter driving experience preferred.
+ Troubleshooting and detailed ability to provide accurate descriptions of problems.
+ Mechanical aptitude is an asset.
+ Willingness to work in both indoor and outdoor environments.
+ Willingness to work in a remote northern community.
+ Willingness to work in a team environment.
+ Willingness to resolve issues in a professional manner.
+ Willingness to take initiative and be self-motivated.

starter Field Technician to support our high purity water systems and services business. We design, 

manufacture and install complete turnkey water systems including ultrapure distribution loops for the 

institutional marketplace. Our innovative designs incorporate equipment which are listed with Health 

Canada as licensed Medical Devices. The Technician will install, service, troubleshoot, repair, and 

maintain critical high purity water systems at our customer facilities (life sciences, laboratory, 

healthcare, biotech, pharma, and advanced manufacturing). A successful candidate will have prior 

experience with water purification systems and equipment. The goal of the position is to drive 

service success that improves customer satisfaction, maximizes customer retention and increases 

profitability. Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to): Field Service 

Our Services: 

· Health Science and Industrial Pure Water Treatment Solutions 

· Process Piping and Plumbing Repairs 

· Plumbing Installations 

· Pure Water Distribution Loop Cleaning

What you will do:  

· Install and troubleshoot Industrial and Commercial Softener/ Multi Media Tanks

Treatment Systems 

· Must have experience troubleshooting Pumps, Pressure switches / level switches 

· Complete eligible work orders  

· Identify proper materials and quantities for new and existing projects  

· Keep company vehicle and equipment properly serviced, clean, and in good working order and 

condition  

· Must be able and willing to work flexible shifts, be available for on-call/standby and emergency call-

outs when assigned to on-call rotation schedule (1 week at a time).  

· Perform other plumbing related tasks as required.  

Requirements:  

· Adequate Electrical Troubleshooting Skills with regards to Switches, Motors, Fuses, and basic 

Circuitry.   

· Experience in Industrial and commercial environments  

· Able to work as part of a team and on their own.  

· Understanding of many aspects of Plumbing (installation, maintenance & troubleshooting).  

· Understanding of Water Testing and proper documentation 

· Thorough knowledge of standard practices and terminology in the field  

· Valid Ontario Plumbing certificate or equivalent  

· Minimum G Driver’s license and clean driving record  

· Ability to lift up to 20Kg and handle physical workload  

· Knowledge and ability to work with plumbing tools and devices safely  

· Ability to read, write and speak English fluently

**Your Opportunity**
The role of the Project Manager would be leading the project team on a range of small to large water and/or wastewater treatment facility projects. You may be involved in various aspects of a project from planning phase through design, construction and commissioning. You will have opportunities to lead expansion of the company's project pursuits in Southern Ontario.
As a Project Manager, you should also possess a high level of technical expertise and should be able to evaluate, select, specify, and engineer systems or products for a project. You will perform a variety of tasks which may include calculations, field work, coordination of tasks and personnel, and mentoring junior staff. The projects assigned may have complex features that will require the application of mature knowledge and experience. You will lead the analysis of proposed projects to ensure reliability, resource efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
This is a hybrid role with the option to be based in one of our offices in the greater Toronto area (Toronto, Stoney Creek) and will support projects across Southern Ontario.
**Your Key Responsibilities**
+ Take an active role in business development activities, project positioning, and proposal development.
+ Leads the preparation of proposals including developing water and wastewater treatment project scope, budgets, design approaches; participates in client interviews and supporting negotiations for project contracts.
+ Typical projects or assignments may include participating in the design and overseeing construction of water and wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, water reservoirs, and conducting treatability and feasibility studies
+ Acts as the primary point of contact for the project, including the management of existing client relationships. Lead project coordination meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants, owners, contractor, subcontractors, and vendors.
+ Provides project leadership for water and wastewater treatment process and/or process mechanical facility projects, including providing guidance and mentoring to project staff.
+ Supervises the work of junior and intermediate staff, including setting the priorities for their scope of work, their budgets and their schedules for completing the work.
+ Reviews and conducts alternative analyses to support business case evaluations for making project decisions.
+ Leads and coordinates efforts for the evaluation, selection and specification of all engineered water and wastewater treatment systems or products for a project.
+ Manages all financial aspects of projects including monitoring budget, invoicing, generating invoice support materials, calculating estimates to complete and following up with clients on outstanding accounts receivable.
+ Leads and supports project teams in the coordination of water and wastewater treatment project construction documents including contract drawings, specifications, and construction cost estimates.
+ Interfaces directly with clients and management regarding status of water and wastewater treatment project scope, schedule, and budget.
+ Coordinates and participates in constructability reviews.
+ Oversees and ensures quality assurance and control on own managed projects and projects of peers.
+ Remains current on regulatory policy and rule changes and may establishes working relationships with regulatory officials. "
**Your Capabilities and Credentials**
+ Capable of generating water or wastewater work in Southern Ontario
+ Demonstrated skills for the efficient project management/technical leadership of assigned tasks on multiple concurrent projects.
+ Understanding of client expectations, budgeting, proposal writing, and producing high quality deliverables.
+ Strong working knowledge in the movement and treatment of water/wastewater and understanding of various design and construction methods.
+ Strong knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes, hydraulics, process mechanical, regulatory compliances, and industry standards.
+ Requisite knowledge, interpretation, and application of relevant design and construction codes.
+ Strong understanding of all phases of project document production and the relationship between drawings and specifications.
+ Demonstrated skills to lead one or more teams of design professionals and technicians that comply with the contract agreement as well as exercise rigid cost control to implement the approved design within established budget restraints.
+ Advanced understanding of water and wastewater treatment engineering concepts and ability to communicate ideas to others.
+ Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, along with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
+ Ability to work well in a team environment without direct supervision.
**Education and Experience**
+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering
+ Licensed Professional Engineer or ability to obtain within 12 months.
+ Minimum of 10+ years of experience in water treatment infrastructure related fields.
