Who we are
YouthLink believes in the potential of every youth, and we are dedicated to providing them with the support, guidance and opportunities they need to make positive life choices. We provide youth with brief and ongoing counselling, in-home wraparound support, shelter, housing, educational support, and safe drop-in spaces.
Guided by our mission and inspired by the potential to make a profound impact, Youthlink works closely with youth, families and partners in our community. We come together to highlight and develop strengths, aspirations and positive actions that improve the health and well-being of all who live, work, study and play in our community. As a service delivery organization, we leverage data-driven decision-making and grassroots engagement with youth advisory councils to create an inclusive, innovative, and responsive agency that provides the best fit and most needed services for our communities.
If you are seeking a meaningful opportunity and want to play a key role in bringing our vision for a stronger Scarborough where all youth and families thrive, join us.
Who we need
We are hiring a Wraparound Facilitator to support youth ages 12 to 18 in Scarborough who are either at risk of entering care or currently in care and need support to return home. Reporting to the Senior Clinical Manager, you will lead families through a strengths-based Wraparound process—developing safety plans, building support teams, setting goals, and coordinating services that reflect each youth’s voice, culture, and values.
In this role, you will be part of a critical program focused on keeping families together, empowering youth to shape their futures, and ensuring access to the services and support they need to heal and thrive. You will walk alongside youth and families during pivotal moments, helping create stability, connection, and lasting impact.
If you are purpose-driven and passionate about helping youth stay connected to their families and communities, this is your opportunity to make a meaningful difference.
This is a contract position ending March 1, 2026. The role requires availability for two evening shifts per week (6–8 p.m.), with daytime hours adjusted accordingly. Travel to in-person meetings within Scarborough and occasionally outside of catchment areas.
What’s in it for you
Purpose. You will be part of a deeply meaningful process that transforms lives and strengthens families in Scarborough. You will support youth in navigating trauma and rebuilding trust, helping them remain with—or reconnect to—their communities.
Impact. You will contribute directly to YouthLink’s mission to build a community where all youth thrive. Your work will empower youth and families, creating early, life-changing interventions and helping them realize their goals. Your support will be felt immediately and lastingly.
Support. You will join a collaborative, equity-driven team that values mutual care, respect, and professional growth. Supervision and mentorship are built into the structure, ensuring you are supported by colleagues who share your passion for youth wellbeing.
How you will make an impact:
- Advocate and champion. You will raise awareness of Wraparound by delivering outreach presentations to Child Welfare agencies and Central Point of Intake. You will consult with internal teams and external service providers, research relevant programs, and determine service eligibility, referring clients elsewhere when needed.
- Deliver Wraparound. You will build trust through one-on-one engagement with youth, guiding strengths-based problem-solving and developing individualized plans. You will attend appointments with clients, coordinate follow-ups, and lead Family Conference meetings. You will form collaborative teams of formal and informal supports and facilitate Wraparound meetings in-home, in the community, and virtually. These meetings will address safety concerns and assess needs, values, and cultural identity. You will also mediate between stakeholders such as schools, service providers, and families.
- Manage process. You will conduct intake assessments, collect evaluations and surveys, and maintain thorough documentation. This includes case notes, statistics, client files, meeting agendas, and Wraparound plans. You will ensure all documents meet YouthLink’s guidelines. You will participate in supervision, peer meetings, and relevant provincial and national Wraparound networks.
- Engage in collaboration and professional development. You will work closely with Clinical teams, support new facilitators, and apply an intersectional lens that promotes equity and diversity. You will contribute to community initiatives, team discussions, and internal committees. You will pursue ongoing professional development through supervision, clinical consultations, training, and YouthLink’s Strategic Plan participation. You will uphold all health and safety protocols to protect yourself and your colleagues.
What you bring:
- The education and training. You have an undergraduate degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a diploma/degree in Child and Youth Work, Social Services, Community Justice, or a related field—or an equivalent combination of education and experience. You have completed or are willing to complete Wraparound Facilitator Training and CPI (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention). Training in trauma-informed care and Standard First Aid certification are assets.
- The experience. You have at least two years of experience working with youth and families, delivering strength-based support, facilitating parenting groups, and managing complex needs. You are adept at working with marginalized youth, newcomers, and diverse populations in under-resourced communities. You bring a trauma-informed, relationship-based approach to case management and care coordination. Your experience also includes harm reduction and substance use support for youth and families.
- The practice-based knowledge. You have a proven ability to build strong, trusting relationships with youth and families. You are a strong advocate, deeply committed to empowerment and engagement. You understand harm reduction approaches, are familiar with Scarborough and GTA community resources, and stay current on laws, mental health issues, and regulations impacting your work.
- The integrity. You navigate ethical situations with professionalism and care. You value accountability, focus on measurable outcomes, and manage stressful situations with empathy and diplomacy. You are receptive to feedback and committed to growth.
- The interpersonal skills. You communicate with empathy and cultural sensitivity, especially when addressing racial trauma. You are an active listener with a strong mental focus. You adapt your communication style to meet the needs of individuals and groups, always prioritizing clarity, authenticity, and connection.
