Insight Global is seeking a QA Engineer to join a large retail client in Vancouver. The QA Engineer will analyse the large volumes of data with minimal supervision and perform end to end testing. The candidate would be designing and implementing automation scripts for executing regression test suites. The Data Quality Engineer would also be responsible for continuously identifying opportunities for automation for data validations.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Understand business requirements and analysing data patterns and anomalies.
Create Test Strategy based on the Project requirements.
Plan, Design and Execute the tests manually using SQL scripts.
Identify and execute regression scenarios using automation scripts.
Conduct Root-Cause-Analysis
Co-ordinate with cross-functional teams to get the functional & technical end-to-end testing done.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams business stakeholders, engineers for UAT & E2E testing.
Contribute to story sizing and work on estimates for test planning, execution, delivery, and documentation.
Co-ordinating with Global engineering Team.
Understand, leverage, and apply best practices effectively.
Ensure quality test deliverables with thorough test coverage.
Strive for continuous improvement of QA practices.
Create and maintain relevant documentation and conduct knowledge transfer activities.

Requirements:
5+ years of experience as an ETL QA Engineer
Strong experience in manual and automation testing (with a 60/40 split of manual / automation)
Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT processes, data modelling, and data warehousing.
Experience with Snowflake for data validations
Experience in ETL/DWH and BI reports testing.
Proficient in SQL. Plusses:

Through working collaboratively with other members of the engineering team, assessing the quality of Actionstep products and platforms via software testing processes. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
In this role, you will be accountable for…
SOFTWARE QUALITY ASSURANCE
•Applies an understanding of how Actionstep products will be used in the real world to evaluate its fit for purpose
•Determine the objective of testing and the aspects of quality that matter to stakeholders for every test effort
•Participate in all SCRUM ceremonies actively, ask questions to gain an understanding of the features, and highlight any risks in the requirements
•Analyse requirements and gain an understanding of customers needs
•Gain an understanding of how the system works under the hood from a system architecture perspective
•Determining test scenarios that appropriately cover the requirements for the determined test objective
•Assessing the quality of Actionstep products and platforms with their changes and takes into consideration security, and performance
•Independently writes and maintains test documents to cover the scopes of work relevant to Actionsteps goals
•Contribute to bug fix releases by verifying fixed issues and perform regression testing
