Key Responsibilities
· Drive Performance Testing - Develop PTE Strategies, create and execute performance testing scripts; design and development of Performance testing across projects within the Cards portfolio. Report and manage performance concerns and test activities throughout the software development life cycle. Provide status of Performance and Load Testing, communicate issues, implement Performance standards and policies, and communicate QA schedule. Develop and maintain Performance tests. Assist developers in identifying the performance issues and work with them to improve the performance of the applications. Effectively communicate quality issues identified within a testing cycle/sprint and collaborate with software development and business teams to accelerate issue resolution.
· Test Delivery - Lead the analysis and translation of business requirements into test cases. Design and manage Performance testing activities for various projects across the business. Continually work towards improving our QA processes and assist Dev's & BAs on any ad-hoc performance testing as needed.
· Innovation - You will be responsible for participating and driving transformational changes in adopting DevOps and Agile methodologies.
Knowledge and Skills
· You can demonstrate seasoned experience in J2EE, C#, Python, VBScript etc software development (3-5 years), manual and/or automation testing (3-5 years), and experience working with SQL and Oracle databases. Its an asset if you have experience with automation and performance monitoring tools like JIRA, GitHub, Jenkins, Dynatrace APM
· You can demonstrate experience in developing Performance Test Plans, executing test cases, scripting, and defect tracking. You bring proven experience utilizing LoadRunner and/or other load testing tools. Your troubleshooting skills help resolve complex technical application and infrastructure problems.
· Ability to analyze and gather non-functional requirements pertaining to application performance and operability . Ability to identify the gaps in non-functional requirements
· Expert in various Performance testing tools like Load Runner (preferred), Performance Center, J Meter, UFT, Neoload etc
· You seek out innovative solutions and embrace evolving technologies. You can easily adapt to new tools and trends.
· Develop execution plans to mimic projected load in production to define workload models to measure application performance metrics
· Analyzing the application with varied loads / parameters to gather memory footprint and application capacity.
· Ability to create load testing scripting using HTTP/HTML, Web Services protocol and ability to script stubs/virtual responders
· Excellent team work skills to work with technical support teams, e.g. Application Operation (AO), network, firewall, UNIX, and DB teams.
· Analyze root cause of performance bottlenecks, investigate performance issues and troubleshoot them quickly in a complex technical environment
· Understanding of various defect tracking tools like HP ALM and Jira
· Ability to deliver on time with quality and handle multiple projects at a time with Flexibility work over time and extended overlapping shifts with onsite to deliver critical projects

As a **Senior Advanced Test Engineer** here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that products and systems can withstand the environmental stresses they may encounter during their lifecycle. This position focuses on testing and evaluating products in various environmental conditions such as temperature extremes, vibration, and other factors that can affect performance and reliability.
You will report directly to our Sr Test Engineering Manager and you'll work out of our Mississauga, ON location.
In this role, you be responsible for designing, conducting, and analyzing environmental tests to validate product performance and reliability under specified conditions. This position requires collaboration with product design and development teams to ensure products meet regulatory compliance and customer expectations. A strong foundation in electronic principles, along with problem-solving skills to address engineering challenges, is required.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
1. **Design and Development:**
2. Manage documentation of design processes, testing protocols, and compliance with industry standards.

4. Develop test software using National Instruments LabWindows and TestStand to automate product testing, focusing on technician needs (HMI).

**YOU MUST HAVE**
+ Bachelor's degree in electrical or aerospace engineering.
+ Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental testing, including understanding complex test setups and methodologies, ideally in a regulated industry such as aerospace and automotive.

Position Title: Software Quality Assurance and Automation Test Engineer - Automotive Infotainment

Role Summary

The software QA engineer will be an important member of our infotainment testing/verification team in Canada, which is part of the larger Global Engineering team working with our industry leading client. The QA engineer will be responsible for defining, implementing, executing, and maintaining test plans and test cases to ensure the software is delivered with high quality. The engineer will work closely with software developers/engineers, requirement developers/engineers and program managers through the entire product lifecycle. The QA engineer reviews requirement specifications and design documents, to better understand the features and specifications for the efficient design of test cases to address the full spectrum of the requirements and quality. The automation test Engineer should improve engineering productivity. In order to achieve this goal, automation test engineer are responsible for designing and implementing highly efficient automation test infrastructure, as well as tools and test scripts to test the specific products and solutions automatically.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in requirement reviews in order to write test procedures and test cases
• Define test strategies based on software development plans
• Define and maintain test plans based on software development schedule
• Setup, integrate and develop highly efficient and reliable test infrastructure
• Design and develop tools and scripts for product and solution automation test
• Investigate and evaluate new techniques and tools for continuous improvement
• Ensure test plans align with the development schedule and project milestones
• Prepare test reports on test results and problems and provide initial issue analysis
• Analyze reported issues to generate quality reports, and contribute to defect prevention
• Support development teams to verify and/or reproduce reported issues
• Participate in the continuous improvement of test processes and methodologies
• Setup and configure necessary hardware and operating environments for specialized and daily test cases
• Maintain of test equipment and the test library environment
• Participate in development of test tools and test scripts
• Interact with software developers and other QA engineers to ensure the deliverables fully address the needs

Requirements

Required Skills and Experiences:

• Minimum three years of experience in software quality assurance
• Minimum two years of experience in testing Android code
• Minimum two years of experience in mobile or automotive industry
• Understanding and experience of different automation framework
• Experience in automation tools like Jenkins, Selenium, Appium and others is a plus
• Experience with Android automation test tools such as UiAutomator, Monkey&MonkeyRunner or Robotium
• Development or scripting skills in common language such as JAVA, Python, Perl, C++ or shell

• Ability to anticipate problems and issues, and then recommend solutions to the problems
• Experience in mobile application automation is highly preferred
• Solid knowledge of software quality assurance methodologies and tools
• Knowledge of testing embedded product software
• Test driven development experience is a plus
• Good experience with different Operating Systems, especially Linux variants
• Working knowledge of Scrum/Agile software development process
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• QA analyst / engineer needs to possess technical writing skills, effective communication skills, problem-solving and analytical skills, organizational skills, and interpersonal skills.
• QA analyst / engineer must be self-motivated, a quick-learner and reliably deliver on time in a fast-paced work environment

Education and Training:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.

Preferred Education and Certification:

• Higher degrees is preferred
• Professional Engineering designation is a plus
