Terus Construction, a division of Colas Western Canada Inc., is looking for a **Shop Coordinator** to join our Shop in **Crescent Valley, BC.**
The role of the Shop Coordinator is to direct shop activities.This includes supporting the Shop Supervisor(s) and Shop Foremen (as appropriate) in maintaining a safe, clean, organized, and efficient operation at the shop. The Shop Coordinator has a primary focus on coordinating activities and scheduling of service activities among multiple mechanics. This includes updating shop scheduling (with Shop Supervisor and Foremen input), monitoring and scheduling equipment coming in and out of the shop for service, creating as necessary, updating, scanning repair notes, completing and closing repair work orders, mechanic time card entry, and reviewing and filing inspections paperwork and reports necessary to track maintenance issues and services and for compliance with NSC and other carrier requirements.
The Shop Coordinator supports the mechanics and shop operations with parts sourcing, requisitions (through Purchasing) for replacement parts, shop supplies, and consumables, inventory management, parts kitting as appropriate, and equipment logistics.
The Shop Coordinator will supervise approximately two (2) to five (5) employees.
**Main Responsibilities**

* Direct Shop activities by scheduling mechanics time and tasking and equipment service scheduling (in conjunction with Shop Foreman)
* Maintain accurate service and inspection records including inspection reports, maintenance tracking, meter readings, WO’s, PO’s and invoices, and data entry activities
* Ensure CVSE inspections are completed on time and documentation records are maintained for NSC registered trucks and highway equipment and notify the supervisor when these guidelines are not being adhered to
* Maintain on-vehicle documentation including current vehicle registration, tags, fuel stickers, insurance cards, pre-trip inspection forms, and availability of log books.
* Post safety-critical information and shop key performance metrics reports for public review
* Communicate regularly with Operations regarding upcoming equipment PM scheduling
* Responsible for JDE data entry and management, including repair WO creation as required, and completion of PM and repair Work Orders
* Maintain equipment history files including regular and preventative maintenance, rebuilds, labor, costs, warranties, etc.
* Monitor the condition and configuration of vehicles entering and exiting the shop
* Support Shop Leaders and Mechanics managing parts and inventory, parts sourcing and procurement, including creation of Repair Work Orders and Purchasing Requisitions.
* Order shop supplies as needed
* Perform Dispatch duty’s as needed.
* Pick up parts from vendors as needed
* Perform all other duties deemed necessary or assigned
