General Accountability
Reporting directly to the Sr. Customer Program Director and functionally to the Vice President of Marketing & Business Development, this role serves as a key liaison between StandardAero and our Canadian military customer base. The primary responsibility is managing T56 engine programs and supporting ongoing sustainment initiatives.
The role is based at the customer’s office at the Department of National Defence (DND) in Ottawa and a hybrid work arrangement can be accommodated. Prior military experience is highly preferred , ideally within aerospace or maintenance operations, to align with the expectations and culture of our customer environment.
Specific Market Segment Focus
This position specifically supports our Canadian military customers, with a focus on supporting the operational and contractual aspects of the T56 turboprop engine program used in military transport aircraft such as the Lockheed C-130 Hercules and CP-140 (P-3) Aurora.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the primary point of contact for assigned military customer accounts.
Support all aspects of T56 engine program requirements, ensuring compliance with contractual, technical, and regulatory standards.
Work closely with Sales, Customer Service, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Logistics to ensure timely and efficient induction and delivery.
Regularly review customer operating data and provide forecasts and performance analysis to internal stakeholders.
Organize and assist in customer reviews and reporting sessions, providing updates on program performance, risks, and action plans.
Proactively identify and resolve customer concerns, including field service support.
Host and support DND visits, audits, and program meetings on-site.
Provide program-level input to sales forecasts, bids, and strategic planning within the military segment.
Participate in risk and safety and airworthiness analyses related to flight- and product-safety critical components.
Required Background & Skills
Prior military experience is not required but strongly preferred, especially in aircraft maintenance, logistics, or program management
Related account or program management experience in the aerospace/defense industry is a strong asset
Proven experience working within or alongside the Department of National Defence or similar military organizations is an asset.
Strong knowledge of engine maintenance programs, with specific familiarity or experience with T56 engine platforms preferred.
Excellent organizational, communication, and relationship management skills.
Capable of analyzing technical and operational data to drive decisions.
Proficient in CRM tools and Microsoft Office suite; knowledge of ERP or MRO software systems is an advantage.
Post-secondary education in Business, Engineering Technology, or equivalent military training is preferred but not required
Must have, or be eligible to obtain and maintain, secret clearance to work within DND facilities.
Occasional travel to other StandardAero or customer sites is required.
