Position Overview
The Sheetmetal Mechanic installs, inspects, modifies, adjusts, and repairs structures and treats corrosion on stringers, frames, and longerons on assigned aircraft.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Performs operational checks and corrosion control.
Uses complex test equipment such as multi-meters, deviation meters, and other specialized tools to perform maintenance.
Repairs or replaces parts based on blueprints, schematics, handbooks, and other technical documents.
Performs calibration, repair, and replacement of parts based on inspection results using technical documentation.
Practices good housekeeping, tool control, FOD awareness/prevention, and safety at all times.
Annotates maintenance actions in aircraft records.
Maintains working knowledge of technical publications and aircraft maintenance applications.
