The Director, Business Consulting holds overall business responsibility for a team of CGI Partners. This is a management role that combines client delivery, business development, and team leadership responsibilities. This role is on-site, with flexibility to be based in any of CGI's office locations in Canada.
**Your future duties and responsibilities:**
Engagement / Mission Governance & Oversight
- Ensure the supervision, coordination, and quality of services delivered to clients.
- Apply CGI's project and delivery frameworks (such as CPMF), including conducting regular and frequent project or operational reviews with CGI Partners and clients.
- Act as Engagement Manager for projects or services within your scope.
- Participate directly in the delivery of client engagements, where required.
Client Relationship & Business Development
- Develop and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with assigned clients.
- Identify opportunities for account growth and work closely with clients to understand their evolving needs.
- Create and manage client development plans and lead business development activities within your portfolio.
Team & Team Member Management
- Assign resources and support recruitment efforts to ensure optimal team structure.
- Guide the career development of team members through regular coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
- Foster the team's development in line with client demands and market trends, ensuring capabilities stay aligned with evolving industry needs.
Operations Management
- Lead the team to achieve budget targets, meet revenue goals, and maintain profitability.
- Monitor performance and financial indicators to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
- Take accountability for operational efficiency within your area of responsibility.
**Required qualifications to be successful in this role:**
- 4+ years of experience managing technology consulting teams in a client-facing environment.
- Proven experience managing large multi-million-dollar IT consulting projects
- Strong background in project governance, delivery frameworks, and engagement management.
- Demonstrated success in building and expanding client relationships and driving business growth.
- Excellent leadership skills, with experience developing and mentoring high-performing teams.
- Financial acumen with a track record of achieving revenue and profitability targets.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities across delivery, business development, and people leadership.
- Degree or diploma in Business or related field is a mandatory requirement.
- PMP or related/IT certifications are a strong asset.

StrategyCorp is seeking a Senior Consultant for its Management Consulting practice in Toronto. Consultants are key to delivering our value proposition to our clients and growing our firm through service and product quality.
As a Senior Consultant with a focus on Financial Modelling, you will play a critical role in developing robust, transparent, and scalable financial models to support strategic decision-making, investment evaluation, and operational improvement for our clients. You will work closely with interest-holders across industries to design, build, and explain complex financial models that capture real-world business drivers and translate them into actionable insights. Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Modelling and Analysis:
- Build sophisticated pro forma financial models from the ground up, including fully integrated Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements.
- Design and implement scenario managers, normalization schedules, and sensitivity analyses to evaluate a range of operational and financial outcomes.
- Develop modular model architecture with clear input/output segregation and transparent logic for client use and internal quality control.
- Integrate client data input sheets into dynamic models, ensuring ease of use, accuracy, and traceability across data sources.
Normalization and Business Practice Optimization:
- Identify and structure normalizations to reflect a business’s true earnings capacity.
- Advise clients on how normalizations impact operational strategy and performance metrics.
- Clearly articulate normalization rationale in presentations and written reports to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Financial Statement Expertise:
- Construct P&L statements from raw data or limited inputs, ensuring alignment with industry standards and client-specific considerations.
- Demonstrate solid understanding of key Balance Sheet components, particularly cash management, restricted vs. unrestricted assets, and working capital items.
Automation and Efficiency Tools:
- Apply basic VBA / Macro coding to automate model workflows, error-checking processes, and reporting tools.
- Maintain version control and documentation for model logic, assumptions, and code components.
Client Engagement & Communication:
- Collaborate directly with client teams to gather data, understand business drivers, and ensure models meet interest-holder needs.
- Deliver model walk-throughs, training sessions, and interpretive summaries to clients and internal teams.
- Contribute to proposals, client deliverables, and internal knowledge-sharing efforts.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or a related field; CFA, CPA, or Master’s preferred (but not required).
- 2–4 years of experience in financial modelling, corporate finance, transaction advisory, or management consulting.
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in financial modelling best practices.
- Working knowledge of VBA/Macros; ability to write, debug, and document simple scripts.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Experience working with public and private sector clients in high-stakes or sensitive financial contexts is a plus.

The Senior Manager represents Practice Management in the Wealth Advice channels. The Manager is primarily responsible for the Advice Businesses Practice Management consulting and coaching capability. In addition, the Manager acts as SME in all things related to Practice Management across the wealth advisory businesses.
