The Director, Business Consulting holds overall business responsibility for a team of CGI Partners. This is a management role that combines client delivery, business development, and team leadership responsibilities. This role is on-site, with flexibility to be based in any of CGI's office locations in Canada.
**Your future duties and responsibilities:**
Engagement / Mission Governance & Oversight
- Ensure the supervision, coordination, and quality of services delivered to clients.
- Apply CGI's project and delivery frameworks (such as CPMF), including conducting regular and frequent project or operational reviews with CGI Partners and clients.
- Act as Engagement Manager for projects or services within your scope.
- Participate directly in the delivery of client engagements, where required.
Client Relationship & Business Development
- Develop and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with assigned clients.
- Identify opportunities for account growth and work closely with clients to understand their evolving needs.
- Create and manage client development plans and lead business development activities within your portfolio.
Team & Team Member Management
- Assign resources and support recruitment efforts to ensure optimal team structure.
- Guide the career development of team members through regular coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
- Foster the team's development in line with client demands and market trends, ensuring capabilities stay aligned with evolving industry needs.
Operations Management
- Lead the team to achieve budget targets, meet revenue goals, and maintain profitability.
- Monitor performance and financial indicators to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
- Take accountability for operational efficiency within your area of responsibility.
**Required qualifications to be successful in this role:**
- 4+ years of experience managing technology consulting teams in a client-facing environment.
- Proven experience managing large multi-million-dollar IT consulting projects
- Strong background in project governance, delivery frameworks, and engagement management.
- Demonstrated success in building and expanding client relationships and driving business growth.
- Excellent leadership skills, with experience developing and mentoring high-performing teams.
- Financial acumen with a track record of achieving revenue and profitability targets.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities across delivery, business development, and people leadership.
- Degree or diploma in Business or related field is a mandatory requirement.
- PMP or related/IT certifications are a strong asset.

    · Lead complex client engagements across a range of industries and problem statements
    · Direct the development of strategies and programs for regional and global clients by leveraging data and technology solutions to unlock client value

    Qualifications
    Basic qualifications
    · Undergraduate degree with work experience in consulting, corporate strategy, business intelligence, business line management, or product management
    · Experience coaching and leading teams across large, strategic consulting engagements that involve structured problem solving and stakeholder management
    · Experience leading senior client relationships
    · Deep knowledge of business KPIs, financials, and organizational leadership
    · Ability to identify new business development opportunities, and experience leading proposal development and scoping of new opportunities
    · Experience generating new knowledge or creating innovative solutions for a firm
    · Logical, structured thinking, and affinity for numerical analysis
    · Advanced Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
    · Ability to lead multiple projects and clients in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
    · Ability to communicate effectively in English and the local office language (if applicable)

    TD Wealth provides investors and financial advisors with a broad range of Advice, brokerage, mutual fund, banking and other consumer financial products on an integrated basis. Within Wealth is the Advice business which consists of the following 2 groups:
    + Financial Planning - allows clients to work with a professional Financial Planner to develop and implement a financial plan.
    + TD Wealth Private Wealth Management - provides Advice, planning, investment management, private banking and private trust services for high-net-worth clients.
    Our Practice Management team is focused on supporting the Wealth Advice team's business growth objectives through advancing the skills and capabilities of the leaders, client facing professionals, and support teams in the field. We primarily do this by offering customized consulting and coaching to drive improved client delivery, improved business performance and efficiencies in their practice. You'll champion team success by helping to execute on the strategy and initiatives to grow and evolve the Practice Management function.
    **Job Description:**
    The Senior Manager represents Practice Management in the Wealth Advice channels. The Manager is primarily responsible for the Advice Businesses Practice Management consulting and coaching capability. In addition, the Manager acts as SME in all things related to Practice Management across the wealth advisory businesses. The Manager also leads and is accountable for a team of Senior Practice Consultants and Practice Consultants. The Manager reports to the Associate Vice-President, Practice Management.
    Core Accountabilities
    Leadership:
    + Lead and guide a team of professionals providing best in class consulting and coaching to field professionals
    + Hiring, developing and retaining the best talent
    + Build authentic relationships to lead, coach and develop each team member to create a high performing team
    + Responsible for fostering and contributing to a positive, inclusive and constructive work environment
    + Ensure developmental plans are in place for all employees, including the creation of a succession plan
    + Lead the process of setting performance objectives for the team; track, monitor and effectively address and/or reward performance in a timely manner
    + Ensure all employees understand what is expected of them through a review of accountabilities, coaching, performance discussions and Mid-year/ Year end performance discussions
    + Share knowledge, information, skills, and subject matter expertise among the team and ensure the timely communication of issues and encourage good working relationships with other functions and teams

    + Contribute to Practice Management leadership and strategy

    + Facilitate key strategic discussions and provide thought leadership to executive audience (output may include strategic roadmap and/or deliverables/ frameworks/ short to long term goals etc.)
    + Development and enhancement of the in-field engagement process
    + Development of Practice Management tools and resources for Advisors to enhance client experience, client advocacy and business building
    + Partner in the development, execution, and ongoing improvement of curriculum, ad-hoc programs, master classes and boot camps
    + Contribute to Practice Management communications and strategies
    + Collaborate with all Regional Teams and National Office teams to ensure alignment to organizational goals and awareness of the work that Practice Management is delivering.
    + Responsible for ensuring effective communication to employees and/or leaders regarding programs, processes and standards as well as improving work processes and finding efficiencies through new initiatives
    + Act as a brand ambassador for your business area/function and the bank, both internally and/or externally
    + Act as SME on projects related to Advisor practices
    + Participate in action planning meetings and plans for TD Pulse
    **Job Requirements:**
    REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR ACCREDITATION
    + Undergraduate Degree
    + Planning Designation preferred
    + Strong knowledge of Coaching Practices both demonstrated and learnt
