The Sales Representative, will focus on developing strong customer relationships to drive growth and loyalty within hospitals and acute care facilities. You will take a consultative approach to promote and support Stryker's Acute Care (Patient Care) portfolio, achieving sales targets through exceptional service, strategic planning, and effective territory management. These products and programs may include hospital beds, surfaces, clinical seating and patient room furniture.
+ Responsible for calling on clinical staff, materials management, and key hospital decision makers.
+ Develops and executes business plans to identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities within the Acute Care space
+ Analyzes territory performance and drive strategic growth
+ Prepares accurate forecasts for yearly, quarterly, and monthly business objectives.
+ Provides existing customers with outstanding post-sale support, including training, communication, and coordination of deliveries, installations, and service requests.
+ Maintains up-to-date customer records in accordance with Stryker standards, including account activity tracking and market share updates.
**What you need**
**Required:**
+ University or College degree
+ 3+ years of outside sales experience
**Preferred:**
+ Degree in business (marketing emphasis), health sciences, kinesiology, or a related field
+ 3+ years of experience in medical device, capital equipment sales or B2B sales

**What You'll Do**
The Nutrition Sales Specialist Acute Care Representative is responsible for creating demand for Abbott Nutrition products. ACR plays a key role in establishing or adapting current clinical practice in order to improve feeding protocols and generate recommendations of our products.
Under the supervision and coaching of the RM, the Nutrition Sales Specialist Acute Care Representative is responsible for detailing adult and pediatric products to Hospital & Community based HCP (GP's, RN, RD).
He/she demonstrates skills to maximize contract compliance and ROI and is able to recognize opportunities for AN products and services.
The Nutrition Sales Specialist Acute Care Representative maintains key HCP list, account profiles. He/she writes his/her territory business plan in an independent fashion and analyzes territory reports and KPI's to determine best use of company resources (Dashboard reports, SFDC etc). He/she demonstrates very good presentations skills in order to deliver influential messages (group selling) as well as communicate opportunities across the sales organization (business planning) and be an active participant within their regional and national teams (best practice sharing).
The Nutrition Sales Specialist Acute Care Representative has the flexibility to conduct special projects, work occasional weekend events and overnight stays (depending on territory as required)
+ Detailing of both adult and pediatric product lines to hospital & community based HCPs (GP, RN and RD)
+ Optimize usage of samples & materials to drive recommendation and trial.
+ Enters all calls details in salesforce.com (correct use of all screens and tabs)
+ Responsible for SFDC territory planning & territory expense reporting
+ Responsible for all pre-post call analysis (keeping SFDC up to date for all contacts and accounts)
+ Knowledge of current trends, events and product knowledge (internal & external)
+ Analysis of KPI's to ensure that all territory trends are accounted for. Provides updated territory business plan to RM monthly or as needed
+ Updates territory business plan (budgets, plan of actions for key customers, key list assessment vs call average and results analysis, etc)
+ Keeps key contact, account profile and locker inventory up to date
+ Prepares and presents territory & coverage plan to RM including upcoming contracts (discussion priorities & targeting)
+ Self-evaluation to RM done at mid and year end
+ SFDC locker inventory reconciliation (on going)
+ Complete mandatory annual corporate training
**Required Qualifications**
+ BSc. in business, marketing or science - background in nutrition and/or RD a significant asset.
+ Minimum of 3 to 5 years previous experience.
+ Current & valid driver's license & as well proven safe driving record;
+ Strong selling and territory management skills;
+ Self-driven, adaptable and has the ability to work autonomously;
+ Proficient in Outlook, internet, Excel, PowerPoint & Word;
+ Strong AN product knowledge and a strong understanding how these products are used in clinical practice;
+ Good understanding of resource allocation with regard to management of budgets, samples and time spent
+ Good presentation skills.

- Current Certification in BCLS and demonstrated ongoing competence through annual re-certification
- Certification in Blood Glucose Monitoring and demonstrated continuing competence in BGM through annual recertification
- Certification in IV Therapy with demonstrated ongoing competence
- Current certification in NRP (was NALS) and demonstrated continuing competence through bi-annual recertification
- Preference will be given to those with recent experience in acute medical nursing
- Knowledge of First Nations culture an asset
- Reliable attendance record
