Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll & HRIS Implementation Specialist with proven experience in ADP system implementation to join our team on a project-focused basis. This role will be instrumental in supporting the rollout, configuration, and optimization of our payroll and HR processes using ADP. The successful candidate will act as a subject matter expert, ensuring accurate system setup, smooth integration with HR and Finance operations, and effective training for end users.

This position requires a detail-oriented professional with strong payroll knowledge, HRIS expertise, and the ability to manage both the technical and people sides of system implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the configuration and setup of the ADP system, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT teams to integrate payroll and HRIS processes seamlessly into business operations.
  • Conduct system testing, data validation, and parallel runs to ensure system accuracy and reliability.
  • Develop and deliver end-user training sessions and documentation, ensuring employees and managers are comfortable using the new system.
  • Perform system audits and troubleshoot issues during and after implementation, escalating to ADP support when required.
  • Ensure payroll processes comply with employment standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.
  • Provide ongoing payroll processing support and system optimization post-implementation, identifying opportunities for efficiency and automation.
  • Act as the primary point of contact with ADP consultants, ensuring project milestones and deliverables are met.
  • Maintain strong data integrity, security, and confidentiality across HRIS and payroll systems.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience leading or supporting ADP system implementation (ADP Workforce Now or similar platform).
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with HRIS/payroll system configuration, reporting, and integrations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and training abilities with the capacity to explain technical processes to non-technical users.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and manage competing priorities.
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (an asset).
  • Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) or Certified Payroll Manager (CPM) designation (preferred).
  • Experience with additional HRIS systems or large-scale payroll projects (an asset).

  • Bilingualism required (English and French)

  • Experience with ADP or any integrated human resources system would be an asset

Keep plant management team aware of changes in employment law as well as ensure legal compliance. Make recommendations that encompass trends and new developments within the human resources function. Works independently and makes decisions that are in the best interest of the organization. The HR Manager will report directly to the HR regional director with a strong dotted-line reporting relationship to the Plant Manager.
Responsibilities
- Ensure Amcor employee relations principles are properly communicated and understood
- Interpret and apply Human Resources policies; align business goals with HR policies
- Manage recruitment, compensation, diversity, performance management, employee training, and development.
- Develop, coordinate, and conduct HR training programs.
- Administer benefits open enrollment and connect employees to the benefits department. Communicate relevant benefits to employees.
- Assist Plant Manager and Regional HR Manager as necessary and requested.
- Coordinate performance and salary review process.
- Manage payroll and HR automated systems.
- Counsel employees, supervisors, and managers on matters of company policy and disciplinary measures.
- Represent company in unemployment insurance claims.
- Manage Human Resources data retention process.
- Provide support for HR activities such as continuous improvement initiatives, affirmative action plan, integration, and acquisitions, and right-sizing.
- Act as coach/counsel at all levels in the organization.
- Participates and leads employee improvement teams to promote positive employee relations; promotes and encourages employee participation.
- Work with production and other department heads to ensure overall success at the plant.

+ 3+ years of progressive HR experience in a manufacturing setting

+ Knowledge of Oracle, UKG Kronos a plus
+ Bachelor's Degree in related field; Master's a plus

+ Provide support to improve employee engagement and employee relations in order to retain talent through proactive programs, including leadership development and training, supervisory and management training and stimulate employee involvement in all areas.
+ Assists with maintaining compliance with federal, state, local and provincial employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.
+ Ensures HRIS is being updated and used accordingly.
+ Helps to identify key data sources and utilizes data-driven insights about important departmental metrics to improve business decisions.
+ Partners with Talent Acquisition Specialist for recruiting, interviewing, and screening employee candidates.
+ Manages the new hire process inclusive of orientations and corporate guided onboarding processes.
+ Provide support for performance management and merit planning processes for respective areas.
+ Partners with Compensation for benchmarking roles.
+ Leads and/or supports HR Projects as per business need

**Qualifications**
Education, Experience, Skills Required:
+ Bachelor of Science in Business Management or Human Resource Management preferred; minimum of 3 years Human Resources experience.
+ Experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment a plus
+ Knowledge and experience in Canadian labor and employment law
+ Experience supporting multi-site and/or remote employees across Canadian provinces preferred.
+ Excellent communication skills both verbal and written form.
+ Has a "can do" attitude and a positive outlook, while minimizing negative behaviors. Demonstrates initiative and resourcefulness as a self-starter.
+ Employs effective time management skills and meets deadlines. Manages multiple assignments simultaneously and has strong organizational skills. Demonstrates a strong attention to detail.
+ Computer/ Database skills.
+ Bilingual with Spanish a plus

Physical Requirements:
