ABOUT THE ROLE

Under the direct supervision of the Manager – Regional Surgical Services, the Advanced Practice Clinician is responsible for providing leadership and an advanced level of clinical practice. Key responsibilities include providing education to all stakeholders; facilitating interdisciplinary processes across the organization and working collaboratively with clients, surgeons, managers, administration and, potentially, outside funders.

WHAT YOU BRING

Education/Experience:

• Current registration with The College of Physiotherapy of Ontario (CPO) or the College of Chiropractors of Ontario (CCO)


• A minimum of five years experience in orthopaedics


• Completion of a prescribed training period with clear learning objectives and demonstrated outcomes

Skills/Abilities:

• A demonstrated commitment to evidence based practice and ongoing professional development


• Demonstrated leadership skills


• Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills


• Ability to manage a clinical practice in a health care setting


• Ability to communicate effectively and concisely, both orally and in writing


• Demonstrated commitment to people-centred care approach and principles


• Strong project/time management, analytical/critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills


• Ability to use independent judgment and maintain confidentiality of records, actions, and information


• Demonstrated regular attendance at work

Conditions of Employment:

• This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC)  where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
