Reporting to the unit manager, the Registered Nurse/ Registered Psychiatric Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care for adults presenting with acute mental health and addictions concerns. The Registered Nurse/ Registered Psychiatric Nurse will provide safe, effective, and stage-matched nursing care according to clinical policies, procedures, and evidence-based nursing care standards. The Registered Nurse/ Registered Psychiatric Nurse works within a concurrent capable, recovery-oriented framework, within the context of a multidisciplinary team.
As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being. Has thorough knowledge and experience of evidence based addiction and mental health treatment modalities (both pharmacological and nonpharmacological). Has strong verbal communication skills (English language proficiency is required) that supports verbal messages being received and understood within the context of crisis and non-crisis situations.
