As an Advanced Materials Scientist at Noze, you will spearhead the development of cutting-edge diagnostic technologies using your expertise in materials science. In this role, you will focus on the synthesis and deposition of thin-film materials specifically designed for chemical sensors in our groundbreaking digital nose technology. Your work will involve enhancing the capabilities of our DiagNoze platform through innovative microfabrication techniques and the integration of novel microfluidic systems.

You are a highly skilled materials scientist with a strong background in the design and development of micro and nano systems with novel thin-film technologies. Your experience extends to applying these technologies in the development of chemical sensors, crucial for digital olfaction applications. What You'll Do:

As a key member of our technology team at Noze, you will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and characterization of advanced nano materials based chemical sensors for our digital nose technology. This includes working on our primary sensor technology as well as supporting peripheral systems that enhance the performance and functionality of our devices. Your primary responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and synthesize advanced thin-film materials for use in chemical sensors, ensuring they meet the specific requirements for integration into microfluidic systems.
  • Develop advanced chemical sensor systems through the synthesis and manipulation of complex liquid colloidal suspensions containing nanomaterials, and oversee their deposition processes to create repeatable, high-quality sensor thin films.
  • Collaborate with other scientists and engineers to ensure that the new materials and technologies are effectively incorporated into our products.
  • Drive innovation in material science to enhance system performance, reliability, and functionality.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; PhD preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in microsystems technology, thin film process and deposition, synthesis of complex colloidal suspension and characterization.
  • Proven expertise in material science with a focus on thin films, microfabrication

Beaver EMS is responsible for Emergency Medical Services in Tofield, Viking and other communities in and around Beaver County. Our service provides 3 full-time ALS units, with two stationed in the town of Tofield and one in the town of Viking. Beaver EMS provides competitive wages, comprehensive benefits, enrollment in the LAPP pension program, $2000 Health Spending Account and recertification of standard qualifications as required (ACLS, ITLS, CPR, PALS).

CUPE 5133 Collective Agreement:

Qualifications:

· Actively registered Advanced Care Paramedic with the Alberta College of Paramedics.

· Valid Class 4 Driver's License with current driver's abstract.

We are looking for a Advanced Technical Support Engineer to join our growing global team at Sectigo.

The Advanced Technical Support Engineer works closely with Sectigo’s customer base and sales department and handles the day-to-day customer issues reported and manages identified issues through to resolution, including assisting customers technical issues by researching, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and identifying solutions to resolve reported issues. This position is responsible for handling all issues escalated from the Tech Support Engineering team (e.g. tier 1).


This is a full-time and in-office position, working 5 days a week from our Ottawa office. 

This is an individual contributor role, reporting to the Manager, Tech Support.

Here are the core functions, responsibilities, and expectations for this role: 

  • Work closely with Sectigo’s customer base and sales department.
  • Handle all issues escalated from Technical Support, Level 1 and take ownership of customer issues reported and seeing problems through to resolution.
  • Research, diagnose, troubleshoot, and identify solutions to resolve reported issues.
  • Ask customers targeted questions to quickly understand the root of the problem.
  • Assisting various customers through Phone, E-Mail, or Chat, until they resolve the reported technical issue.
  • Provide prompt and accurate feedback to customers.
  • Follow up with unresponsive customers.
  • Refer to internal database or external resources to provide accurate tech solutions.
  • Follow standard procedures for proper escalation of unresolved issues to Shift Lead / Team Lead or to the appropriate internal teams.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with end users, colleagues, and management to quickly resolve issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Prioritize and manage several open issues at one time.
  • Ensure all reported issues about the system are properly logged and reported.
  • Contribute to create Knowledge Base of known issues and their fixes.
  • Additional responsibilities and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is strongly preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in technical support or help desk environments is required; ideally 3 to 5+ years is preferred with some experience in an escalation role.
  • Strong understanding of SSL/TLS, certificate lifecycle, and server/network 3-5+ years of customer support / help desk experience.
  • Experience working with large accounts.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems such as Salesforce, Zendesk, or Freshdesk.
  • Technical knowledge/experience/certifications with Microsoft, Cisco, (and / or) within the Security Industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux Apache and Windows operating systems.
  • Knowledge of Windows networking.
  • Experience with information security products. (antivirus, spam filter, email encryption, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Internet protocols and services including TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, SSH, and SSL
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory.
  • Applied knowledge troubleshooting server-level issues.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, is required.

  • Perform prescribed duties and responsibilities independently outlined in all levels up to and including level 3 for fascia tooling (hidden parting line and conventional) and trim type tooling (e.g. rockers, claddings, wheel flares etc.)

  • Participate in and support Continuous Improvement and WCM initiatives

  • Use standard library models to design tools that meet customer specifications.

  • Assist in the design of tooling at the direction of the Design Team Leader

  • Manage single tool design projects when requested

  • Collaborate with other company design resources as required for confirmation of tool design concepts relative to part geometry

  • Review tool designs produced by our strategic partners in tooling and provide feedback to ensure tools meet the expectations of our production facilities. This is to support our global tooling initiative.

  • Work closely with estimating and program managers to assist in the development of new tooling and engineering change quotes

  • Design water, boring mill and 3D contour feature working collaboratively to ensure other design disciplines and design for manufacture (build/machine) are considered.

  • Complete part feasibility studies on upcoming program parts to ensure all aspects are considered for tool design (cooling, steel condition, proper draft etc.)

  • Effectively interact with all departments within the company - Design, Machining, Build, Scheduling and Management

  • With Designer Team Leader supervision, conduct internal and external design reviews, document results of meetings and implement agreed-upon actions

  • Mentoring junior Designers

  • Flexibility to work outside of core hours as required to meet the demands on the engineering department

  • Travel as required for investigational, benchmarking or training purposes

  • Maintain confidentiality and integrity

Qualifications:

  • Minimum completion of Grade 12 diploma

  • College diploma / University degree in a relevant technical field, or equivalent experience an asset.

  • Strong working knowledge of Siemens NX Mold Wizard in all facets of tool design

  • Strong mathematical aptitude

Key Responsibility Areas

Equipment Diagnostics, Repairs and Optimization

· Perform all the duties of a Service Technician including:

o removal, disassembly, and reconditioning of components

o complex and difficult diagnostics and repairs on agricultural and turf equipment

o may specialize on all types of equipment

· Perform a mix of shop and/or road (in the field) work, as required; which, includes Precision Ag repairs

· Perform any and all service tasks as assigned

· May perform machine start ups

· May perform machine optimizations

· May assist or support in customer clinics

· Assists other technicians with diagnostics

· Maintain condition of vehicles, inventory, tools and equipment in good working order

Administrative/Reporting/Goals

· Works toward attaining and maintaining appropriate efficiency, productivity and labour performance for personal ratings as well as to assist with team/department goals

· Maintains a minimum 80% or higher, labour performance rating, on a consistent basis

· Must be at over 80% labour performance on a longer-term basis

· Complete all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments

· Manages workorder process from start to T complete

· Account for all time and material used in performing assigned duties

· Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments

Desired Experience and Qualifications

· Certified Journeyperson or equivalent

· 4+ years of experience performing service repairs

· Knowledge of engines, hydraulics, powertrains, air-conditioning, mechanical and electrical systems, used in the repair of agricultural and turf equipment; And as they apply to machines marketed by the dealership

· Ability to read, write, and speak effectively with customers and/or other employees

· High School Diploma or equivalent experience required

· Forklift license preferred

· Willingness to learn and work hard

Required education, skills and abilities:
