As an AI Architect, you will be responsible for designing and developing scalable AI and Gen AI solutions aligned to a business strategy and benefits as well as supporting as an AI technical advisor and SME to help our clients scale their AI programs. You will need to understand how various parts of the business processes, operating systems, and application architectures work together to design a specific AI solution that fits a client's environmental requirements. The AI Architect takes ownership of technology related aspects of AI across the Microsoft ecosystem.
You are proficient in creating AI solutions that enable clients to see the whole picture and provide insightful and accurate analysis that helps to build successful businesses. Passionate and experienced in Conversational AI, solution design, and custom speech models you are fluent in RAG, NLP, and CLU with an understanding of how they can be leveraged in solutions, but also with clients to help on the journey towards Agentic AI. The candidate should be familiar with copilot studio, understand the capabilities around automation as well as how to create agents, what the roadmap towards Agentic AI looks like and how to advice a client on a potential strategy.
As an AI Architect, subject matter expert and software engineer you will work closely with internal cross-functional teams and clients through sales, solutioning, and delivery to identify, document, and translate business intent and requirements into repeatable, scalable solutions and services that drive client impact and meets desired outcomes.
Within a Highly Collaborative and Entrepreneurial Environment, You Will:
· Translate business requirements to technical solutions using strong business insight and architectural expertise to guide sales, project, and cross-functional teams
· Develop overall solution plans and strategic vision for AI and Gen AI, providing a comprehensive roadmap for clients' needs, including risks, assumptions, and estimates end-to-end

Experience Required for Success:
· Track record of developing and growing exceptional client relationships with a reputation for delivering a "best in class" end-to-end client experience, preferably in a business consulting (technology focus) environment
· Demonstrated experience of turning business use case and requirements to well-engineered technical solutions as a means to unlock our clients' needs and outcomes in a repeatable, scalable manner
· Applied experience in data science and engineering to solution programs and architect system integration projects using a combination of Microsoft Azure Cognitive Services, OpenAI, and Copilot Studio as well as RAG, NLP, CLU, and Agentic architecture to guide clients, colleagues, and partners
· Proven experience in communicating and presenting complex information to technical and non-technical stakeholders with strong ability to establish relationships with peers virtually, across globally dispersed teams
You likely possess a Bachelor's degree in a business or technology-related field (though this is not essential to be considered for the role), or an equivalent combination of education and experience. You have 3 years or more of relevant business technology leadership experience, including engineering, solutioning, delivery and direct client engagement particularly within a consultancy. You are fluent in Azure and understand how Gen AI will impact current ways of working for Avanade and clients alike.

Reporting to the Director, AI Product Development, the AI Architect will work with an autonomous Customer Value Team (CVT) composed of developers and quality assurance people. What We're Looking For:

- Proven experience designing and implementing AI architectures , with a focus on scalability, efficiency, and performance optimization.
- Deep expertise in analyzing, interpreting, and improving LLM outputs, using techniques such as model distillation, dataset curation, and inference optimization.
- Strong software development background, with proficiency in TypeScript, and Python (PHP is a plus).
- Cloud expertise in GCP or AWS, with hands-on experience deploying and managing AI workloads on Kubernetes.

Position Summary
As a Senior AI Architect , you will play a critical role in shaping our AI-driven offerings in Canada. You will define and deliver AI architectures that solve complex business challenges, promote our innovative solutions to customers and partners, and represent our brand as a thought leader within tech ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver AI solutions that drive business value across industries (e.g., predictive analytics, generative AI, computer vision, NLP, automation).

Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in technology solutions, with at least 5 years in AI/ML solution architecture and delivery.
- Strong track record of designing and delivering AI systems that have achieved measurable business impact.
- Deep understanding of AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn), cloud AI services (AWS, Azure, GCP), and MLOps practices.
- Experience with AI solution governance, ethical AI, and responsible AI design is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to engage business executives and technical teams alike.
- Demonstrated experience as a speaker, author, or thought leader in the AI space is a strong asset.
- Strong network or active participation in the AI/tech ecosystem (local AI meetups, conferences, community) is preferred.
- Bachelor’s or master’s in computer science, Data Science, AI, or a related field.(PhD is a plus.)
- Advanced understanding of aeronautical and manufacturing operations is a plus.
