What You'll Be Doing:

Reporting to the Director, AI Product Development, the AI Architect will work with an autonomous Customer Value Team (CVT) composed of developers and quality assurance people. Each CVT is responsible for defining their own roadmap, working directly with our Client Services team to connect with customers and associates to understand their needs. Each CVT leader is given an unusually wide latitude to define and deliver success on their own terms. • Train and fine-tune LLMs using new datasets, adjusting hyperparameters, and testing different model variations.
• Develop and update AI-powered product features , such as chatbots, search enhancements, or recommendation systems.
• Deploy AI models and services to GCP/AWS , configuring Kubernetes for scalability and reliability.
• Monitor model performance by reviewing logs, tracking latency, and troubleshooting issues in production.

What We're Looking For:

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs ), including fine-tuning, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), agentic architecture, prompt engineering, and optimization.
• Proven experience designing and implementing AI architectures , with a focus on scalability, efficiency, and performance optimization.
• Deep expertise in analyzing, interpreting, and improving LLM outputs, using techniques such as model distillation, dataset curation, and inference optimization.
• Strong software development background, with proficiency in TypeScript, and Python (PHP is a plus).
• Cloud expertise in GCP or AWS, with hands-on experience deploying and managing AI workloads on Kubernetes.
• Experience with production AI systems, including performance monitoring, debugging, and model lifecycle management.
• Familiarity with security best practices for AI applications, including data privacy, access control, and adversarial robustness.

• Drive the overall AI vision of the products and services delivered by Solink.

• Oversee the design, security, scalability and effectiveness of the AI solutions that are developed by individual feature teams.

• Adopt processes and tools that streamline the reliability, extensibility and enforce best practices of AI solutions whether they are in the cloud or at the edge.

• Stay on top of the latest research and techniques in computer vision, generative AI, agentic workflows, and large language models to continuously improve our technology stack.

• Ensure AI traceability and compliance with anti-bias and privacy regulations.

• Collaborate with product, engineering, and data teams to translate business needs into intelligent, data-driven solutions.

• Help build and maintain infrastructure to support model training, deployment, and continuous improvement at scale.

• Review and define best practices for MLOps pipelines

• Mentor and guide data scientists and engineers in best practices of AI architecture, training, experimentation and deployment.

What You Bring

Must-Have:

• 10+ years of experience in Software Systems with at least 2 years in an architectural or lead role

• 2+ years of experience with AI/ML

• Proven track record of designing and deploying production-level AI systems in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

• Extensive experience working with third party AI services (example OpenAI, DeepMind, Anthropic)

• Strong knowledge of machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and MLOps best practices

• Experience with AI solutions that run on chip/memory limited edge devices

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience working with video analytics, computer vision, or multi-modal AI systems

• Familiarity with data privacy, model explainability, and ethical AI practices in real-world applications

• Knowledge of observability and MLOps pipelines

As a Senior AI Architect , you will play a critical role in shaping our AI-driven offerings in Canada. Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver AI solutions that drive business value across industries (e.g., predictive analytics, generative AI, computer vision, NLP, automation).
• Collaborate with clients to understand business needs , translate them into AI use cases, and lead the solutioning process.
• Define AI architecture frameworks , standards, and best practices for projects across the Canadian business unit.
• Support sales and pre-sales activities by articulating the value of AI solutions to business and technical stakeholders.
• Promote and evangelize our AI capabilities in the local market through events, meetups, conferences, publications, and networking forums.
• Actively build relationships with local AI, tech, and business communities to enhance our presence and reputation in Montreal.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in technology solutions, with at least 5 years in AI/ML solution architecture and delivery.

• Strong track record of designing and delivering AI systems that have achieved measurable business impact.
• Deep understanding of AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn), cloud AI services (AWS, Azure, GCP), and MLOps practices.
• Experience with AI solution governance, ethical AI, and responsible AI design is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to engage business executives and technical teams alike.
• Demonstrated experience as a speaker, author, or thought leader in the AI space is a strong asset.
• Strong network or active participation in the AI/tech ecosystem (local AI meetups, conferences, community) is preferred.
• Bachelor’s or master’s in computer science, Data Science, AI, or a related field.(PhD is a plus.)
• Advanced understanding of aeronautical and manufacturing operations is a plus.
