POSITION DESCRIPTION:
You will operate at the intersection of AI innovation, product development, and finance — helping to build internal AI tools and automation capabilities that enhance efficiency, generate insights, and scale operations across the Valsoft group. You will be responsible for developing intelligent solutions tailored to finance functions, owning the end‑to‑end lifecycle of AI products such as agentic document processing tools, financial chat assistants, and future AI‑driven initiatives by leveraging proprietary databases, platforms, and interfaces to support high‑impact finance use cases.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Design and deploy AI/ML models for use cases such as forecasting, anomaly detection, and document intelligence.
• Rapidly prototype and experiment with novel approaches, evaluating business impact before scaling.
• Build internal applications that integrate AI/Automation capabilities into finance workflows (e.g., reconciliations, reporting, invoicing).
• Package AI outputs into accessible, user‑friendly tools for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Leverage structured and unstructured financial data (e.g., from Snowflake) to engineer features and train robust models.
• Collaborate with the data team to align schemas, inputs, and processing pipelines.
• Partner closely with corporate finance leaders to understand business needs and translate them into AI‑driven solutions.
• Convert complex AI outputs into actionable insights for finance stakeholders.
• Write clean, maintainable code with strong documentation, version control, and testing.
• Stay up to date with AI/ML trends, tools, and frameworks, and suggest their integration when relevant.

REQUIRED/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience building and deploying AI/ML solutions in production environments, preferably within finance or enterprise settings (but candidates with strong portfolios and demonstrated impact also encouraged).
• Proficiency in Python and key data science libraries (e.g., Pandas, scikit‑learn, Transformers).
• Strong analytical mindset; ability to deconstruct business processes into AI‑enhanced solutions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across disciplines (finance, BI, engineering).
• Experience building lightweight web applications using JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Node.js, React).
• Strong command of SQL and experience with data warehouses such as Snowflake.
