As the Manager of Data Science and Analytics, you will lead and build a small but growing team responsible for transforming Vention’s rich data into insights that directly impact strategic decisions across the company. You’ll get your hands dirty applying data science techniques to solve high-impact problems in operations, growth, product, and customer experience - all while helping establish the data vision and infrastructure that scales with our business.

What You’ll Do:
Leadership and Stakeholder Collaboration
- Manage, mentor, and grow a high-performing data team, while contributing directly to analytics and data science initiatives. Promote best practices in data management and modeling.
- Partner with business leaders to understand critical data needs, define priorities, and ensure alignment between analytics initiatives and strategic goals.
- Own the analytics roadmap and sprint planning processes. Balance quick wins with long-term capability building in line with evolving business needs.
Analytics & Insight Generation
- Drive complex data modelling and advanced analytics initiatives (including statistical modelling, forecasting, and clustering) to identify trends, optimize performance and drive growth.
- Lead the development of data visualization strategies, dashboards, and KPIs that deliver actionable insights and drive strategic business decisions.
- Translate complex analytics into actionable recommendations for executive leadership and key stakeholders.
Data Infrastructure & Governance
- Own the development, reliability, and scalability of the company’s data infrastructure, including the data warehouse, ETL/ELT pipelines, and source system integrations.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency while adhering to compliance and governance standards.
- Maintain documentation for data architecture, processes, and analytics methodologies.
What You Bring to the Table:
- 5–7 years of hands-on experience in data science or analytics, with a proven ability to lead projects, manage teams and influence business decisions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Business ANalytics Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
- Strong technical foundation with proficiency in Python, SQL and BI tools (i.e. Power BI/Looker).
- Proven experience with data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and data modelling techniques (i.e. Snowflake, Airbyte, AWS)
- Deep knowledge of statistical techniques, regression modeling, and machine learning methods (e.g., clustering, decision trees, neural networks).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a passion for translating data into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders. Bilingual (English/French) is a strong asset.
