Job Requirements What We're Looking For
  • 6 - 8 years of progressive experience with business intelligence, data warehouse technical architectures, data modeling and reporting/analytic tools and forecasting.
  • Post-secondary degree in a related field such as Business Administration, Economics or Statistics, Information Systems, Mathematics, or Computer Science,
  • Demonstrated experience with qualitative data science/business intelligence with significant business impact.

  • Track and assess performance across multiple dimensions of the marketplace eCommerce business, including SKU-level performance, ad campaigns, keyword trends, promotions, and content optimizations, to build insights and make data-driven recommendations
  • Develop and run A/B tests, conduct pre/post analysis, measure ROI, and build business cases to support conversion optimization, ads performance, and investment decisions
  • Maintain monthly performance dashboards to monitor trends and provide leadership with clear, timely updates. Continuously optimize dashboarding by incorporating new metrics, ways of measuring and consolidating data, and benchmarking/target -setting
  • Collaborate with Digital Marketing to build a new full-funnel dashboard, integrating disparate data sources to improve visibility into traffic drivers and conversion behavior on Amazon and Chewy
  • Partner with external agencies to optimize reporting, ensure consistent measurement, and optimize campaign execution
  • In partnership with the Digital Marketing team and our platform and agency partners, improve attribution approaches by improving use of tools and methodologies like Amazon Attribution, Amazon Marketing Cloud, DSP measurement, and pixel tracking

Digital & Performance Marketing Support:

  • Collaborate with the Digital and Performance Marketing teams to assess multi-channel campaign effectiveness across paid media, search, website, social media, influencers and other channels
  • Maintain KPI dashboards to track full-funnel performance from awareness to conversion and loyalty
  • Analyze user journeys, traffic sources, channel/tactic engagement, and campaign performance reporting to inform optimization opportunities
  • Support ad hoc analysis requests to answer key business questions

Corporate Analytics Partnership:

  • Partner closely with the Corporate Planning & Analytics team to represent eCommerce & Digital Marketing for all corporate analytics and reporting needs
  • Work with Corporate Planning & Analytics and IT to evaluate, select and implement new best-in-class tools to improve automation of data integration and dashboarding

We are seeking an experienced and versatile Analytics Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will apply your advanced analytics expertise to extract actionable insights from raw data. What You Will Be Doing
  • Data Modeling & Pipelines: Design, develop, and maintain complex data models in our Snowflake data warehouse. Utilize dbt (Data Build Tool) to create efficient data pipelines and transformations for our data platform.

Skilled in shell scripting and command-line tools to support data workflows and system tasks. Ensure code is well-tested and integrated into automated workflows (e.g., via Airflow job scheduling).

  • Visualization & Presentation: Create compelling visualizations and presentations to deliver analytical insights and actionable recommendations to senior management and cross-functional teams. Tailor communication of complex analyses to diverse audiences.

  • Innovation & Best Practices: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging tools, and best practices in data engineering and analytics (with a focus on dbt features, Snowflake's latest offerings and BI innovations). Develop and implement innovative ideas to continuously improve our analytics stack and practices.
What You Bring
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in data analytics or a related field, with significant exposure to AI and Machine Learning applications in analytics.

  • SQL Expertise: Advanced SQL skills with experience in writing and optimizing complex queries on large-scale datasets.

  • dbt Proficiency: Hands-on experience with dbt (Data Build Tool) and its features for building, testing, and documenting data models.

  • Data Modeling: Expert-level knowledge of data modeling and data warehouse concepts (e.g., star schema, normalization, slowly changing dimensions).

? What You'll Do:

  • Analytics Strategy & Roadmap: Develop and own the comprehensive digital analytics strategy and roadmap. Is a thought-leadership partner to identify key business questions and opportunities, and align the team's focus to deliver high-impact insights that drive business outcomes.

? What You'll Bring:

  • 5-7+ years of experience in digital analytics or digital marketing analytics, with a proven track record of delivering business impact.

  • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing a strategic analytics roadmap.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Tag Manager (GTM), including implementation, governance, and server-side tagging.
