Position Summary

The Apparel Designer will report to the VP of Design and will be a key player in our design department. The Apparel Designer will play a crucial role in the development and production of our fashion lines.

Essential Duties and responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and execute innovative design concepts
  • Research and analyze current fashion trends, consumer preferences, and market opportunities
  • Create original sketches and technical drawings for a variety of apparel products
  • Participate in fittings, providing input on fit and construction

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Produce detailed and accurate garment tech packs, including BOM, specifications, and design details.
  • Spec and evaluate fit samples to determine compliance of measurements, workmanship, construction, wash direction, and fit.
  • Maintain construction and fit consistency of according to brand guidelines.
  • Take part in fittings, preparation, measuring and photographing of prototypes, SMS, PPS on and off models. Taking detailed notes of the required fit and construction corrections and conveying corrections to factories.
  • Grading and reviewing graded specs, and conveying comments and corrections to vendors.
  • Analyze and communicate the outcome of fittings and construction and wash comments with the product development team and vendors.
  • Liaise with international development teams in China, Japan, Europe and beyond to solve problems throughout the sampling and production phases.
  • Has a proactive approach to advancing technical and product development knowledge through mentorship and training from other product development team members.
  • Responsible for fit sample and PPS management and organization.
  • Assist with fabric and garment care testing as required.
  • Assist with care and content label upkeep and development.
  • Follow garment from SMS state through production.
  • Take on special projects as needed.


Administrative Duties:

  • Update and maintain all line sheets
  • Organize design files, artwork etc.
  • Document and organize new washes, finishes and dye techniques
  • Maintain and organize trim libraries
  • Sort and arrange all fabric hangers by season and classification

  • Proficiency in using Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge or experience in fittings.
  • Ability to work in metric and imperial, including fractions would be an asset.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

●    Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Apparel Design/Production

●    10+ years of experience in Technical fit, patternmaking and construction of apparel as well as Hats/Accessories.

●    Previous experience working with and/or implementing PLM systems is required.

●    Experience with high-quality branded apparel and accessories

●    Travel and hands-on experience with offshore manufacturing and domestic production

●    Effective communication skills – verbal and written.

●    Ability to work independently, as well as in a team.

We’re looking for a Director of Apparel Manufacturing to help drive the next phase of

growth at one of Canada’s leading garment manufacturers.


This is a unique opportunity to join a well-established apparel production facility that

specializes in outerwear, uniforms, technical and tactical gear, and private label

production for top Canadian brands. With a team of over 200 skilled workers, we are

committed to innovation, craftsmanship, and building a people-first culture.


Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily production across cutting, sewing, finishing, and packing

• Lead and support a team of 200+ production staff

• Maintain a strong on-the-floor presence to coach, problem-solve, and build

operational discipline

• Lead the implementation of ERP/MES systems for real-time visibility and planning

• Apply Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies to streamline operations and

eliminate waste

• Standardize workflows and improve tracking of production output

• Help create a clean, modern, and efficient production environment

• Strengthen cross-functional communication and accountability

• Foster a workplace culture where employees take pride in their work and have

opportunities to grow


What We're Looking For:

• 10+ years of leadership experience in apparel manufacturing

• Hands-on experience with ERP or MES systems in a garment production

environment

• Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or equivalent

About the Role

As a Brand Representative for Ksubi , you'll serve as a key brand ambassador within premium retail locations. You'll be responsible for educating store teams, merchandising Ksubi collections, and making sure the brand stands out on the floor just like its wearers do on the street.

Key Responsibilities
  • Brand & Product Education : Train store associates on Ksubi's story, collections, fits, and styling tips.

  • Merchandising Execution : Ensure Ksubi's displays, denim walls, and brand zones are visually impactful and compliant with brand standards.

  • In-Store Visit Tasks :
    • Conduct store walkthroughs and visual audits.
    • Take and submit high-quality merchandising photos.
    • Complete inventory checks and trend/competitor analysis.
    • Collect feedback from store staff to share with the Ksubi team.

  • Brand Representation : Bring Ksubi's fearless, creative energy to every store interaction.

What We're Looking For
  • Previous experience in retail, sales, or fashion-forward customer engagement.
  • Passion for streetwear, fashion, and Ksubi's rebellious design ethos.
  • Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Eye for merchandising and styling; detail-oriented.
  • Comfortable working independently and self-managing schedules.
  • Tech-savvy and able to use the ThirdChannel mobile app to complete store visits.

Requirements:

  • Smart device (iOS 15.0 or Android 10.0+) with internet access.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Availability to travel within assigned territory.

Position Details

  • Schedule : Self Manage schedule within retailers requirements
    Pay : Competitive hourly rate for visits (based on experience and location)
