About the Role

We're looking for a Registered Architect with a strong background in delivering commercial projects, ideally with at least 10 years of experience. This is a leadership-track opportunity suited for someone interested in expanding their responsibilities, mentoring others, and contributing to strategic growth and business development.

You'll step into a high-impact role where you can influence project direction, support operations, and help shape the studio's ongoing success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead project design and development, creating functional and sustainable solutions that align with client needs and community goals

  • Oversee commercial projects from concept to completion, ensuring quality, code compliance, and timely delivery

  • Collaborate with internal and external teams including engineers, interior designers, and contractors to deliver fully integrated design solutions

  • Act as Architect of Record, with the ability to sign and seal drawings

  • Cultivate strong relationships with clients and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle

  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and collaboration

  • Support internal operations, firm planning, and participate in business development across BC and beyond

Qualifications

  • AIBC Registered Architect (or eligible for registration in BC)

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in architectural design and project delivery

  • Proven portfolio in commercial, retail and/or industrial projects

  • Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite

  • Knowledge of BCBC, VBBL, and local permitting processes

  • Strong communication, coordination, and leadership skills

  • Passion for mentoring and developing emerging professionals

  • Business development mindset & experience with interest in firm growth initiatives

  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
