AWS is looking for a Database Solution Architect, who will be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for helping customers in designing solutions that leverage our Data & AI services. As part of the Specialist Solutions Architecture team, you will work closely with other Data & AI Specialist Architects from various geographies to enable large-scale customer use cases and drive the adoption of Amazon Web Services for Data and AI/ML platforms. You will interact with other Solution Architects in the field, providing guidance on their customer engagements, and you will develop white papers, blogs, reference implementations, and presentations to enable customers and partners to fully leverage Amazon Web Services. You will also create field enablement materials for the broader SA population, to help them understand how to integrate Amazon Web Services Data solutions into customer architectures. You drive effective feedback gathering from customers, and you distill and translate that feedback into clear business and technical requirements for product and engineering teams to review. You may continue to sponsor the creation of new products and features from these requirements, working closely with product and engineering teams to minimize requirements drift from your customer's needs.
You must have deep technical experience working with database technologies, from design and optimization to data migration and integration. A strong background in database development and administration is preferred, in addition to experience in building application and architecture design. You will be familiar with the database offerings on Amazon Web Services and ecosystem of software vendors in the database space, and will leverage this knowledge to help Amazon Web Services customers.
Candidates must have great communication skills and be very technical, with the ability to impress Amazon Web Services customers at any level, from executive to developer. Previous experience with Amazon Web Services is desired but not required, provided you have experience building large scale solutions. You will get the opportunity to work directly with senior data architects at customers, Database SMEs, partners and Amazon Web Services service teams, influencing their roadmaps and driving innovation.
Key job responsibilities
- Thought Leadership - Evangelize AWS Database services and share best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, white-papers, reference architectures and public-speaking events such as AWS Summit, AWS re:Invent, etc.
- Partner with SAs, Sales, Business Development, Data and the AI/ML Service teams to accelerate customer adoption and providing guidance on their customer engagements.
- Act as a technical liaison between customers and the AWS Database services teams to provide customer driven product improvement feedback.
- Develop and support an AWS internal community of Data related subject matter experts worldwide. Create field enablement materials for the broader SA population, to help them understand how to integrate Amazon Web Services GenAI solutions into customer architectures.

Basic Qualifications

• Architect and lead ASIC/FPGA design of new display interface IP for the automotive market
• Initially develop solution in FPGA prototype validation platform
• Understand high-level requirements and translate them into detailed specifications.
• Lead, design and implement RTL logic (mainly Verilog or System Verilog), run block-level simulation, FPGA tool flow, ASIC synthesis, DFT insertion, timing closure.

Requirements
The ideal individual is a senior / staff / principal IC Design Engineer with the following.

• Minimum of an undergraduate degree in EE or equivalent skills/experience.
• 12+ years of relevant experience in progressive roles.
• Experience architecting large ASIC sub-systems or complex digital IP
• Experience with modern day ASIC development including RTL logic design, physical synthesis, STA, lint, LEC, and understanding of PnR.
• Experience with modern Xilinx and Altera FPGA devices and tools
• Experience with complex asynchronous clock boundaries & high-speed serial interfaces.
• Experience in a lab environment, troubleshooting issues up to the system level.
• Experience with Display Port or Display Port Display Stream Compression highly desired.
• Experience with HDMI or video over USB-C would be nice.
• Experience in automotive semiconductors, functional safety and ISO 26262 desired.
• Experience with IC implementations of security root of trust, key storage and authentication, encryption/decryption, AES GMAC or GCM would be very nice
• ASIC verification experience using SV/UVM would be valuable.

The Toronto office is seeking an architect to join its Buildings Studio. * Prepares and revises documentation in various architectural phases including site plans, floor plans, building elevations, building sections, and details.
* Coordinates building systems (structural, mechanical, electrical, etc.) to ensure compatibility with the design intent.
* Reviews shop drawings and submittals, responds to RFIs, prepares site observation reports, and other contract administration tasks.
* Coordination of specs with construction documents.
* Assists in the evaluation and selection of building systems and materials.
* Attends project coordination and meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants.
* Participates in value engineering and basic cost estimating.
* Implements sustainable design principles into the building design and surrounding environment.
* Assists in site analysis, research of concept, benchmark, typology, and precedents.

* Knowledge of building construction systems, constructability, materials, and industry associated standards.
* Requires a strong understanding of the relationship between drawings and specifications.
* Requires strong software skills- Microsoft Office Suite, Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp.
**Education and Experience**
OAA Registered Architect is a requirement.
Minimum of 10 years' experience is required.
LEED Green Associate or LEED AP preferred.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may require travel and include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
