Your Opportunity

**Role Overview**
The Area Manager, Specialty & Rare Disease will be responsible for achieving territory sales objectives through effective stakeholder management and strategic planning. Navigating the hospital setting with a key account approach, collaborating with various stakeholders and departments to ensure the successful implementation of our products and services.
**Territory: Ontario**
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Achieve territory sales objectives by effectively managing external stakeholders (specialists, specialized/hospital pharmacy) and internal stakeholders (marketing, finance, commercial operations).
+ Navigate the hospital setting with a key account approach, collaborating with different stakeholders and departments such as neurosurgery, operating room, hospital pharmacy, BioMed, accounting and nursing care
+ Work with stakeholders to prepare the hospital by addressing equipment needs, drug funding, and overall management within the facility.
+ Develop and execute the territory business plan, including medical education initiatives.
+ Optimize territory budgets to achieve desired outcomes.
+ Build and nurture strong relationships with Key Specialists, Hospital and Specialized Pharmacists, and Nurse Practitioners.
+ Have an excellent understanding of the therapeutic areas and clinical information to discuss and differentiate benefits for Healthcare Professionals and patients.
+ Develop speakers, Key Opinion Leaders and work with Teaching Hospitals Medical staff.
+ Consistently deliver the marketing message in a clear and concise manner to designated customers in various settings.
+ Coordinate with other Area Managers and collaborate with team members to share best practices and drive overall success.
+ Identify new business opportunities and gather competitive market intelligence to maximize growth.
+ Complete administrative duties such as expense reporting, call reporting, drug adverse-events and safety reporting, updating target lists, and maintaining institution profiles.
**Education, Experience, and Skill Requirements**
+ University degree in sciences and 5+ years' experience in pharmaceutical hospital sales, with a key management approach.
+ Strong Medical knowledge abilities.
+ Ability to attend national/international conferences.
+ Established Ontario-area hospital networking is an asset.
+ Thorough understanding of hospital processes for new drugs.
+ Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
**Additional Information:**
+ Compensation range: 110-140K
+ Eligible for sales Incentive Compensation plan
+ Travel or other requirements: Full-time remote position requiring frequent travel within the assigned territory.

We are looking for motivated, customer-focused individuals who want to join our team as an Area Manager. In this role, you will lead a team of hourly workforce and will be responsible for engaging your team during their shifts to maintain the highest levels of safety, quality, attendance, and performance. You will also play a key role in maintaining our customer expectations to ensure customer orders are delivered at the right time, to the right location.
Our Operation's workflow has three major components: First mile - where the product is housed and ready for order; Middle mile - where the order is hauled to your area; and Last mile - when the product is delivered to the customer's door. Please note that all workflows have slight building variations, but one thing is constant: our vision and dedication to the customer.
Our fulfillment network launches new Operations sites every year, providing various opportunities for your professional growth. We hire Area Managers based on location preference and the business' current openings.
Key job responsibilities
- Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce
- Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises
- Collaborate with all support teams including Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, Human Resources to develop plans to meet business objectives
- Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
- Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts
- Work in an environment where the noise level varies and can be loud
- Work in an environment that is subject to variable temperatures and weather (delivery stations include outside loading departments)
- Continuously climb and descend stairs (applies to sites with stairs)
Basic Qualifications
- 2+ years of employee and performance management experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience
