Our gaming and entertainment client is seeking an Art Director/ Designer to join their team for a remote, 12+ month freelance opportunity.
This will be 40 hours per week, and 100% remote.
It is preferred that you have gaming and/or entertainment experience.
The ideal candidate is a creative leader with a solid foundation in branding, graphic design, and visual narrative. You enjoy collaborating with others, have a keen eye for detail, and produce work that engages audiences. You improve the caliber of campaigns, you also mentor designers while submitting your own designs. You're passionate about games and entertainment, and you want to create visually striking and genuine content.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Design and direct campaigns, social media, digital advertising, and promotional materials
- Develop and present concepts, style frames, and design explorations.
- Lead design direction and execution across digital, web, social, and campaign materials for mobile video games!
- Create graphic design deliverables, including promotional creative, and brand collateral.
- Ensure that all visual assets are on-brand and campaign-ready.
- Collaborate with marketing, brand, and product teams to deliver cohesive campaigns.
- Develop and elevate designers creative standards by being mentoring and guiding.
- Improve the look and feel of campaigns and across our portfolios.
- Keep up with pop culture, design trends, and gaming aesthetics.
- Oversee several projects and fulfill deadlines without sacrificing quality.
- Collaborate with the senior director of creative operations and production.
TO BE CONSIDERED, YOU MUST HAVE/BE:
- Strong branding, typographic, layout, and composition skills.
- Familiarity with digital, social, and campaign-level design.
- Knowledge of design systems and asset production.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite; Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.
- Knowledge of 3D design software and experience with Sketch or Figma are bonuses.

ROLE SUMMARY
The Motion Graphics Coordinator (Contract) will be assigned to productions and will be responsible for breaking down scripts, attending meetings with production, budgeting hours for motion graphics builds, and creating and delivering design briefs to our team of Motion Graphics Designers. You will provide design and story feedback to the artist (alongside the Creative Director) until the graphics build is complete, and then send it to the director, writers, and showrunner for review.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Read and create script breakdowns identifying screen graphic elements on laptops, phones, tablets, TVs, and computer monitors.
- Budget the hours a motion graphics artist needs to complete each creative build.
- Assist creative team leadership in scheduling artists onto creative builds.
- Create and deliver design briefs to designers via project management software (Wrike) and Zoom.
- Create and maintain an Asset Tracker spreadsheet with the assets/information needed from other departments.
- Provide design and story feedback to the artist alongside the companys Creative Director.
- Send completed graphics previews to the director, writers, and showrunner for external review and facilitate any necessary revisions with the artist.
- Keep project management software updated with the latest one-liner schedules from production.
- Update creative briefs and budgets as needed based on script revisions from production.
- Budget for and deliver additional screen graphics elements to VFX as needed
TO BE AN ALL-STAR
- Experience in project management
- Experience in motion graphics and design
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Passion for the entertainment industry.
- Prior experience in the film or television industry is a plus.
