Rsum du poste:

Le Chef d'quipe technique assemblage mcanique est un expert technique sans subordonns directs, qui agit en tant qu'expert en la matire (SME) dans le domaine de l'assemblage mcanique d'quipements d'emballage industriels. Sous la responsabilit du directeur de production, ce poste consiste soutenir une quipe d'assembleurs et de techniciens en leur fournissant des conseils pratiques, en rsolvant les problmes techniques et en apportant son expertise en matire de processus. Le chef d'quipe veille ce que les objectifs de qualit, de scurit et de production soient atteints en encadrant les membres de l'quipe, en soutenant la normalisation et en renforant l'engagement de BellatRx envers l'excellence oprationnelle.

Responsabilits et tches :

1. Sant et scurit

  • Veiller ce que toutes les tches soient effectues conformment aux procdures, protocoles et normes tablis en matire de sant et de scurit, et soutenir et renforcer les pratiques au sein des quipes assignes.
  • Maintenir un environnement de travail propre et sr.
  • Montrer l'exemple et promouvoir en permanence une culture d'engagement en faveur de la sant et de la scurit.

2. Production

  • Assurer la liaison entre l'quipe technique et le coordinateur de production, le directeur de production et les autres fonctions de soutien (par exemple, les planificateurs, le service Excellence produit, les ingnieurs).
  • Soutenir l'excution de la production en aidant attribuer les tches, les responsabilits et les objectifs individuels en fonction des qualifications des membres de l'quipe et des dlais du projet.
  • Contribuer au respect des dlais de production en conseillant le coordinateur de production sur la planification du flux de travail et en surveillant l'avancement des projets assigns.
  • Alerter rapidement le directeur de production de tout problme susceptible d'avoir un impact sur la livraison, le budget ou la qualit du produit.
  • Rsoudre rapidement les problmes lis l'assemblage et signaler les problmes non rsolus au coordinateur de production afin d'impliquer les services concerns.
  • Veiller ce que les pices inutilises et restantes provenant des assemblages termins soient remises en stock de manire rapide et organise.
  • Favoriser une communication efficace au sein de l'quipe et entre les quipes de production afin de soutenir un flux d'informations et une collaboration efficace.
  • Participer au lancement des projets et d'autres runions ou vnements lis la production, selon les besoins.

3. Assistance technique, formation, dveloppement technique et performances

  • laborer des procdures oprationnelles standard (SOP) et tenir jour la documentation de formation pertinente.
  • Assurer la formation sur le terrain des membres de l'quipe dans les domaines d'expertise technique.
  • Encadrer les membres de l'quipe et soutenir leur dveloppement professionnel en leur fournissant des conseils techniques, des formations et des retours d'information.
  • Identifier et recommander des amliorations lies aux pratiques d'assemblage, aux processus de production et l'efficacit de l'atelier.
  • Contribuer au processus d'valuation des performances en fournissant des informations sur les comptences techniques et les contributions de l'quipe.
  • Signaler les problmes disciplinaires au directeur de production, en fournissant des informations dtailles et pertinentes.

4. Tests et documentation

  • Responsable des tests de cohrence et de rptabilit.
  • Responsable d'aider le coordinateur de production assurer le suivi des listes de pices manquantes.
  • S'assurer que les classeurs de construction des machines sont jour et informer le coordinateur de production de toute modification ncessaire.
  • S'assurer que les quipes de production utilisent les dernires rvisions des dessins.

5. Service aprs-vente (sur demande spciale)

  • Aider le service clientle sur demande.
  • Former les clients sur site ou dans leurs locaux.
  • Se rendre sur le site du client pour assurer le service ou l'installation, si ncessaire.
  • Se rendre des salons et/ou confrences, si ncessaire.
Les critres de performance comprennent, sans s'y limiter :
  • Assurer la coordination du dpartement production en dlguant les tches techniques et les responsabilits en temps opportun.

Job Summary:

The Mechanical Assembly Lead Hand is a technical expert with no direct reports, serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the mechanical assembly of industrial packaging equipment. Reporting to the Production Manager, this role supports a team of assemblers and technicians by providing hands-on guidance, technical troubleshooting, and process expertise. The Lead Hand ensures quality, safety, and production objectives are met by mentoring team members, supporting standardization, and reinforcing BellatRx's commitment to operational excellence.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1.Health and Safety

  • Ensure all tasks are performed in accordance with established Health and Safety procedures, protocols and standards and support and reinforce practices within assigned teams.
  • Maintain a clean and safe shop floor environment.
  • Lead by example and continuously promote a culture of commitment towards health and safety.

2.Production

  • Act as a liaison between the technical team and the production coordinator, production manager, and other support functions (e.g., planners, Product Excellence, Engineers).
  • Support production execution by assisting in the assignment of individual tasks, responsibilities, and objectives based on team members' qualifications and project deadlines.
  • Help ensure production timelines are met by advising the production coordinator on workflow scheduling and monitoring the progress of assigned projects.
  • Promptly alert the production manager of any issues that may impact delivery, budget, or product quality
  • Troubleshoot assembly-related issues in a timely manner and escalate unresolved problems to the production coordinator to involve the appropriate departments.
  • Ensure unused and leftover parts from completed builds are returned to stock in a timely and organized manner.
  • Foster effective communication within the team and between production teams to support efficient information flow and collaboration
  • Participate in project kick-offs and other production-related meetings or events as required.

3. Technical support, training, technical Development and performance

  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintain relevant training documentation.
  • Deliver on-the-job training to team members within areas of technical expertise
  • Coach team members and support their professional growth by providing technical guidance, training, and feedback.
  • Identify and recommend improvements related to assembly practices, production processes, and shop floor efficiency.
  • Contribute to the performance evaluation process by providing input on technical skills and team contributions.
  • Report disciplinary issues to the Production Manager, including detailed and relevant information
4. Testing and documentation
  • Responsible for aiding the Production Coordinator with the follow up of missing parts lists.
  • Responsible for testing consistency and repeatability.
  • Ensure machine build binders are up to date and inform the Production Coordinator of any necessary modifications.
  • Ensure production teams are using current up to date drawing revisions.

5. After Market Service (Upon special request)

  • Provide help to customer service department upon request.
  • Train customers on site or at customer premises.
  • Travel to customer site for service or installation as needed.
  • Travel to shows and / or conference as needed.
Performance criteria include but are not limited to :
  • Ensures coordination of production department through delegation of technical tasks and responsibilities in a timely manner.
  • Ensures consistency of testing in a repetitious fashion.
  • Ensures the follow-up of missing parts lists.

PCB Assembly/SMT-Team Lead

Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Team Lead – PCB Assembly / SMT to oversee and coordinate the daily operations of our PCB assembly line. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SMT processes, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.This is a full time permanent role based out of our Branch in Pointe Claire, QC.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and lead a team of SMT operators and technicians in the assembly of printed circuit boards.
  • Plan, schedule, and monitor daily production activities to meet output, quality, and delivery targets.
  • Ensure proper setup, operation, and maintenance of SMT equipment (e.g., pick and-place machines, reflow ovens, AOI, Selective soldering).
  • Troubleshoot process and equipment issues to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
  • Train and mentor team members on assembly procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to resolve production issues and implement process improvements.
  • Maintain accurate production records, reports, and documentation.
  • Enforce compliance with ESD, IPC standards, and company policies.
Requirements and Skills:
  • Diploma or degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in PCB assembly and SMT manufacturing, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Strong knowledge of SMT processes, equipment, Touch-up and quality control standards (IPC-A-610, ISO 9001).
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Proficient in using production software and Microsoft Office tools.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with SMT process, Inspection and Touch-up.
  • Experience with automated optical inspection (AOI), X-ray inspection, and solder paste inspection (SPI).
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
  • ERP system experience (e.g., D365, SAP, Oracle, or similar).

**Job Description**
As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of 35-50 employees through your lead hands, who manage different departments such as sheet metal, assembly, electrical, welding, and more. You will report to one of the three Production Managers and lead meetings with your lead hands to ensure smooth daily operations.
**Responsibilities**
Accomplish manufacturing results by communicating job expectations, coaching, counseling, and when necessary, disciplining employees.
Select, onboard, train, and mentor employees to ensure effective integration into the team.
Complete production plans by scheduling and assigning personnel, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules, resolving problems, and reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
Manage the accuracy of timesheets to ensure proper documentation and accountability.
Collaborate with various groups to identify cost reduction initiatives that will maintain or improve quality, reliability, and manufacturing cycle time.
Work with the Safety group to create, evaluate, and promote the management of operational hazards through Job Hazards Assessments.
Review and control resources to ensure the correct and timely execution of work orders and the completion of finished goods.
**Essential Skills**
3-5 years of production supervision experience.
5+ years in a trade or Journeyman in HVAC, Welding, Electrical, Sheet Metal.
Experience supervising 15+ people.
Safety conscious, ideally with experience on a safety committee.
Proficiency in Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
Experience with LEAN manufacturing.
Journeyman certification to assist in employee apprenticeship programs.
Experience supervising more than 15 people, ideally 30+.

**Job Title: Production Supervisor**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Supervisor to oversee and enhance production operations. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in motivating employees, improving production methods, and ensuring the quality and efficiency of our products.
**Responsibilities**
Recommend measures to motivate employees and improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, and efficiency.
Review operations and work with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing issues.
Develop and implement production tracking and quality control systems, analyzing production, quality control, and maintenance to identify production problems.
Recruit, train, evaluate, and discharge staff and resolve personal grievances.
Prepare and maintain production reports and personnel records.
**Essential Skills**
3+ years of supervisor experience in manufacturing.
Comfortable overseeing 30+ people.
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to pass a backcheck.
Proficiency in Six Sigma, supervisory skills, process improvement, production management, and management skills.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
Union experience.
Automotive experience.

**Work Environment**
Our large facility requires candidates to be comfortable standing for 8+ hours and to work in sometimes loud environments due to machinery. Steel-toe footwear is required. The position operates on a two-week rotating shift, with day and afternoon shifts currently available. The day shift runs from 6:30 am to 2:00 pm, and the afternoon shift from 2:30 pm to 10:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract position based out of OSHAWA, Ontario.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $42.00/hr.
**Workplace Type**
This is a fully onsite position in OSHAWA,ON.
