About the Role

We are hiring an Audio Visual Technician to set up, operate, and maintain AV systems across multiple facilities, including council chambers, community centers, and corporate spaces. This role involves live streaming, event production, troubleshooting AV systems, and providing staff training.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate AV systems , video conferencing solutions, and live streaming platforms.
• Support council and committee meetings , special events, and press conferences.
• Troubleshoot and repair AV equipment and maintain inventory.
• Deliver staff training sessions on AV systems.
• Assist in AV system installations, vendor coordination, and procurement.
• Support collaboration tools such as Cisco Webex, MS Teams, and Zoom .
• Participate in media production, including video and photography projects.

Must-Have Skills & Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in AV technology, broadcast production , or related field.
• 3–5 years of AV experience in live event production or corporate environments.
• Knowledge of AV control systems (Crestron, AMX), video conferencing, and streaming platforms.
• Experience with broadcast/livestream solutions such as NewTek Tricaster.
• Strong troubleshooting and repair skills for AV systems.
• Proficiency in Cisco Webex, MS Teams, Zoom , and AV networking.
• Valid Class G driver’s license .

**Position Overview**
A Event Audio Visual Technician is responsible for the set up and operation of basic / small-scale audiovisual systems in a hospitality environment while ensuring complete customer satisfaction. This position reports to an Operations Manager, Operations Director or Director, Event Technology.

+ Ensures a flawlessly executed event through accurate and timely setup, operation, and breakdown of basic audiovisual equipment as listed in the technical qualifications section.

+ Meets with guests on site to ensure that their needs are met and the equipment setup is working properly.

**Job Qualifications**
+ High School Diploma required. Associate's degree is preferred.
+ Achieve Technical Level 3 Certification per Encore Technical Skillset Matrix within 180 days (Technical Skill Set Matrix ( or @Encore/HR/Global Learning).
+ 1 year of customer service or hospitality experience is preferred.
+ 1 year of audio visual experience or equivalent in educational environment is preferred.
+ A valid driver's license is required for team members that may operate Company vehicles.
+ Additional DOT requirement may need to be met if applicable.

What youll do

• Responsible for installation and wiring equipment such as televisions, audio systems, home automation systems, and power blinds in new and existing construction, primarily within a residential construction setting.
• Maintenance and troubleshooting of existing systems.
• Ensures finishing work, equipment and fixtures are satisfactorily installed to the corporate standard, site drawings and the applicable building and electrical codes.
