Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Design & Manufacturing Engineer with expertise in design & manufacturing high volume automotive components . The ideal candidate will leverage strong SolidWorks skills to create detailed 3D models, drawings, and tooling designs, while also optimizing stamping operations for manufacturability, quality, and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop automotive (Class 8 trucks) exhaust components with the combination of stamped and sheet metal parts, necessary jigs, fixtures and dies for high volume production.
- Generate detailed engineering drawings and drafting packages compliant with GD&T standards.
- Conduct forming and stamping simulations (e.g., AutoForm, PAM-STAMP, or similar) to validate designs and optimize processes.
- Review customer part designs and provide input for manufacturability and cost reduction.
- Support prototype builds, production trials, and new product launches.
- Collaborate with tooling suppliers and internal teams to ensure proper design execution.
- Troubleshoot production issues through root cause analysis and implement engineering countermeasures.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including work instructions, BOMs, and process sheets.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce scrap, and improve product quality.
- Ensure compliance with automotive standards (IATF 16949, ISO, OEM requirements).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline .
- 5+ years of experience in automotive manufacturing engineering (stamping focus).
- Strong design and drafting skills , including 3D modeling and 2D drawing creation.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks (design, assemblies, and drafting).
- Hands-on experience with metal stamping processes (progressive, transfer, or tandem dies).
- Experience with simulation tools for forming and stamping (AutoForm, PAM-STAMP, or equivalent).
- Knowledge of GD&T, tolerance stack-up, DFMEA/PFMEA, PPAP, and APQP.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with tooling design for high-volume automotive applications.
- Familiarity with machining, welding, or robotic automation.
- Exposure to lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
- Prior experience with Tier-1 automotive suppliers or OEMs.

Key Responsibilities
- Architect and lead ASIC/FPGA design of new display interface IP for the automotive market
- Initially develop solution in FPGA prototype validation platform
- Understand high-level requirements and translate them into detailed specifications.
- Lead, design and implement RTL logic (mainly Verilog or System Verilog), run block-level simulation, FPGA tool flow, ASIC synthesis, DFT insertion, timing closure.
- Interface with the verification team, design team, emulation team and support team.
- Perform lab bring-up, product integration and support.
- Provide technical support to customers and lead them through complex technical issues
The ideal individual is a senior / staff / principal IC Design Engineer with the following.
- Minimum of an undergraduate degree in EE or equivalent skills/experience.
- 12+ years of relevant experience in progressive roles.
- Experience architecting large ASIC sub-systems or complex digital IP
- Experience with modern day ASIC development including RTL logic design, physical synthesis, STA, lint, LEC, and understanding of PnR.
- Experience with modern Xilinx and Altera FPGA devices and tools
- Experience with complex asynchronous clock boundaries & high-speed serial interfaces.
- Experience in a lab environment, troubleshooting issues up to the system level.
- Experience with Display Port or Display Port Display Stream Compression highly desired.
- Experience with HDMI or video over USB-C would be nice.
- Experience in automotive semiconductors, functional safety and ISO 26262 desired.
- Experience with IC implementations of security root of trust, key storage and authentication, encryption/decryption, AES GMAC or GCM would be very nice
- ASIC verification experience using SV/UVM would be valuable.
- Track record as a self-starter, a team player and a leader.
