Senior Service Advisor / Service Writer
Toronto, ON | $75,000 – $5,000 + Bonus
We’re a close-knit, 40+ year-old independent auto repair shop in Toronto looking for a Senior Service Advisor who’s ready to take ownership of the role—and maybe even grow into Shop Manager someday.
If you’re great with customers, organized, and know how to keep a busy shop running smoothly, you’ll fit right in. We’re also open to experienced mechanics who want to move off the tools and into a leadership position.
What you’ll do:
Be the main point of contact for customers—estimates, scheduling, follow-ups
Work closely with our skilled techs to make sure every job’s done right
Manage parts, orders, invoices, and keep the shop running like clockwork
Take initiative to improve processes and grow with the shop
What we’re looking for:
3+ years as a Service Advisor/Writer in an independent shop (or a mechanic ready for a new challenge)
Strong communication skills and a customer-first attitude
Ability to work independently and lead by example

Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years experience working with wheels and tires on various types of vehicles
- Red Seal certified
- Prior experience in a dealership or automotive repair shop is an asset
- Knowledge of wheel alignment, balancing, and tire installation procedures
- Familiarity with various brands and types of tires and wheels
- Ability to use specialized equipment such as tire changers, balancers, and alignment machines
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks
- Good physical fitness for lifting heavy wheels and tires

Compensation:

- Taking maintenance supplier calls from coast-to-coast as part of a team to review maintenance requests in relation to vehicle safety, driver downtime, customer maintenance parameters, and manufacturer’s maintenance recommendations.
- Reviewing data for the potential for warranty claims or requests for special consideration or goodwill adjustments from manufacturers or suppliers.
- Verbal or written communications with clients, vendors or manufacturers to expedite repairs, claims, or resolution of a customer problem.
- Manage direct relationships for key Strategic Accounts
- Driver liaison as necessary to assist with vehicle operation related requests and appointment booking direction and assistance.
- Assist Supervisor with training and instruction of new programs and processes.
- Assistance to sales and service departments with special customer requests as directed by management.
- Assistance with research and consultation on maintenance costs for client annual reviews.
- Other departmental duties as directed by management.

- Experience as a Licensed Mechanical Technician or an Automotive Service Advisor is required
