Qualifications:

• Registered 310S technician or 3rd/4th year apprentice
• Must hold a valid Ontario Driver's License

Responsibilities:

• Complete repairs and services as per assigned repair orders, using hand tools and other specialized automotive repair equipment
• Road test motor vehicles and test automotive systems using diagnostic tools
• Review work orders and discuss worth with service advisors
• Provide repair and servicing recommendations to service advisors and discuss parts availability with parts department
• Utilize computer to punch on and off jobs and document repair progress and diagnoses
• Stay up-to-date on factory training, recall notices, service actions and other manufacturer requirements

Wages and Hours:

• Flat rate hourly pay, negotiable based on experience
• Monday to Thursday, 8am - 5:30pm
• Friday, 8am - 4:30pm
• Half-day Saturday shifts during spring / fall tire season (4-8 per year)

Requirements

Education, Experience and Other Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Automotive Service Technician, with a strong background in automotive repair.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, equipment, and software systems.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

A Licensed Automotive Service Technician is needed at a busy shop in Downtown Toronto, ON (Dundas and DVP) and North York. Knowledgeable and reliable Service Tech will be required to inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles. A team player by nature the Automotive Service Tech diagnosis complex problems and find efficient solutions for them.

The Automotive Service Technician who excels in this role should remain informed on Federal and Provincial Regulations related to Safe Driving and be able use hand-held equipment and onboard compression gauges, or diagnostic computers. Must be experienced in repairing vehicles from Mercedes, Audi, Volkswagen, Toyota, Honda, etc. systems including engines, A/C, electrical, exhaust, brakes, axles, oil-lube service, and more.

Red Seal Certified Automotive Service Tech with working knowledge of automotive equipment must:

$34.00 – $3.00/hour flat rate to start based on experience and training.

Tools Allowance – $30 per year

Boots Allowance – $1 0 reimbursed at the end of the year
