Key Responsibilities:

• The AME/Technician is responsible for checking and maintaining the condition of aircraft and engine, makes repairs, replacements and adjustments, in accordance with approved maintenance procedures.
• S/he is accountable to the Production Manager for completing work assigned by the Lead Hand or Production Manager. The AME/Technician will ensure that all work is done in accordance with the policies and procedures defined locally and by Transport Canada.
• Complete verification inspections, if trained, as directed by Lead Hand / Production Manager and maintain integrity of all issued documents.
• Interpret blueprints/specifications/standards and written technical instructions and bring forth any questions to the lead.
• Ensure shop area and tools are maintained in a clean and safe condition.
• Work with manager and coworkers to understand “the big picture”. Make any necessary adjustments to best achieve targets, including informing others of issues that might affect their targets.
• Disassemble, inspect, record discrepancies, recommend and record methods of repair
• Install, rig and carry out all other mechanical functions and test in accordance with manufacturer's specifications

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduated from accredited trade institution with Mechanics background
• Experience: Minimum 2-5 years of experience in Mechanics-related general aircraft assembly, fabrication, installation.
• Proven ability to interpret blueprints/specifications/standards and written technical instructions
• Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Preferred Qualifications and or Skills:

• Experience with Twin Otter aircraft and system is considered an asset

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights
• Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs
• Ability to acquire a Transport Canada issued Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC)
• Flexibility to change shifts is required.

* Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing packaging/processing equipment. This role works closely with the Packaging/Processing Employees, Team Leaders and Supervisors to ensure all processes are available to operate at capacity stated
* Answering Packaging/Processing calls to troubleshoot and repair equipment to bring them back on line in a safe, timely manner
* Familiarizing yourself with our CMMS system, Perform and complete inspections and PM in the CMMS system, creating and following up on Work Orders as needed
* Helping prevent unnecessary breakdowns by inspecting and maintaining all plant machinery on a PM schedule
* Identify via troubleshooting root cause of asset(s) downtime/slow down from capacity
* Contributing to a positive employee experience through continuous improvement of the equipment and the business
* Working inside, outside and in cold areas with Safety and Capacity at the very front of all tasks

**Your profile:**

* Industrial Mechanic/Millwright/Apprentice/High Mechanical Experience
* High mechanical aptitude with a proven track record
* Experienced in preventative maintenance, conveying systems, pumps, hydraulics, troubleshooting, welding, the layout of work, electrical knowledge
* A tactful communicator with a willingness to solve problems using critical thinking skills
* Willing to share and implement ideas for continuous improvement as part of lean manufacturing initiatives
* Ability to work alone and make timely correct decisions as required
* Tig/mig welding and fabrication experience would be a great asset

# Job Summary

**How you will make an impact:**

You will be responsible for assisting with day-to-day upkeep, maintenance, and smooth operation of the facility.

**As a Maintenance Technician, you will:**

- Perform regular maintenance on the facility including changing light bulbs, carpentry, painting, minor drywall repair, minor plumbing, and tile repair
- Repairing Interior walls, installing drywall for repair or replacement
- Inspect the facility and other structures to detect malfunctions, furniture maintenance and conduct repairs accordingly
- Ad-Hoc duties such as Window and door repairs, mounting curtain poles, track, and fixture shelves
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned

**About you:**

- Possess excellent communication skills in English both oral and written
- Valid Driver’s license and a good driving record
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of this position
- Comfortable with heavy lifting and extensive walking around the facility
- Ability to operate related equipment such as manual or electric tools
- Ability to work independently as well as get along with others
- Should be highly detail oriented as well as ability to multitask
- Must be aware and or trained on the safe use of equipment, site safety practices, fire prevention and work regulations
