CS Group Canada is looking for an Avionics Systems Engineer to support integration, validation, and certification projects for avionics systems.
Your responsibilities:
- Ensure the functional integration of avionics systems (FMS, GPS, VHF, ADS-B, TCAS, etc.) on test benches, simulators, or aircraft
- Configure and validate embedded systems through ground testing (regression, non-regression, environmental, EMI testing, etc.)
- Diagnose and resolve system, software, or interface issues (avionics/cabin/network)
- Develop and execute test procedures based on system requirements (ARP4754A, DO-178C, DO-160G)
- Analyze test results and document validation reports, non-conformity reports, and traceability matrices
- Interpret wiring diagrams, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), and functional logic schematics
- Participate in technical reviews (PDR, CDR, TRR) with system, development, flight test, and certification teams
- Contribute to the setup and deployment of test and automation tools (Python, TestStand, LabVIEW, etc.)
- Collaborate with certification teams to ensure compliance with civil or military standards
- University degree in Electrical, Computer, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent
- Relevant experience in the integration and/or validation of avionics systems
- Knowledge of avionics system architectures
- Significant experience with DOORS is mandatory
- Strong understanding of qualification, safety assessment, and certification standards, particularly military ones such as MIL-STD-810, MIL-HDBK-217, or similar
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and interpret technical documentation
- Familiarity with automated testing or simulation tools is an asset
- Proficiency in French and English (bilingualism is an asset)
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, autonomy, and a good team spirit

Job Purpose
The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Avionics) is responsible for providing avionics maintenance services including but not limited to servicing, troubleshooting, maintenance, repairs, modifications, fabrication, installation, and functional tests on electrical systems and their components utilizing the tools and equipment available and in accordance with company and Transport Canada approved standards.
Primary Responsibilities
- Ensure all tasks assigned are completed efficiently and airworthiness is maintained.
- Ensure test equipment serviceability and calibrations are maintained.
- Complete repairs, overhauls, and inspections on aircraft or in avionics shops.
- Review work order charges to ensure correct data is entered into the system and advise direct supervisor of any discrepancies.
- Complete all work order entries in a timely manner.
- Participate in scheduled heavy maintenance and provide aircraft on ground (AOG) support when required.
- Perform modifications and repairs on avionics, electrical and electromechanical systems.
- Carry out routine maintenance and troubleshoot problems with applicable systems.
- Collaborate with other engineers and read, understand, and apply engineering instructions and drawings.
- Complete each task and associated maintenance documentation in an appropriate, safe, and timely manner.
- Maintain and manage the avionics shop.
- Ensure the availability and maintenance of all avionics required publications.
- Ensure that all components installed on aircrafts are pre-approved and properly certified.
- Assist in keeping the maintenance office, hangar, and shop areas clean and ensure equipment is appropriately stored/returned after tasks are completed.
General Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain knowledge of the company's mission, vision, and values.

Qualifications
Typically, the knowledge and skills required for this position include a high school diploma or equivalent, and a minimum E Transport Canada AME license along with at least a minimum five years' progressive experience in avionics, repair, and installations. **Job Description**
As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME), you will report to the Sr. Manager of Maintenance Operations. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of aircraft maintenance. This position requires you to conduct maintenance tasks, troubleshoot issues, perform repairs, modifications, and installations, and conduct functional tests on electrical systems and components.
**Responsibilities**
Conduct maintenance, modifications, and repairs on company aircraft as assigned.
Utilize documentation such as AMM, SRM, IPC, SBs, and SLs for maintenance tasks.
Support aircraft discrepancy rectification at various bases.
Report any unserviceable or unsafe conditions and equipment to the supervisor.
Compile and assist in the reporting of Service Difficulty Reports (SDRs).
Participate actively in the companyu2019s Safety Management System (SMS).
Ensure all tooling is current and serviceable; maintain up-to-date documentation.
Verify that parts used for maintenance have the appropriate paperwork or trace.
Maintain good housekeeping of company facilities and equipment and report any deficiencies.
Provide training and direction to other technicians and learners.
Communicate and liaise with maintenance control regarding aircraft deferrals and status.
Maintain an AME M2 license and comply with all training requirements.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
**Required Skills**
Extensive experience as an aircraft maintenance engineer.
Troubleshooting and line maintenance expertise.
Proficiency in hydraulics and pneumatics.
**Transport Canada issued AME M2 license.**
