The Battery Management System (BMS) Software Design Release Engineer is responsible for developing advanced automotive battery packs from initial design concept through full volume production. The Engineer is responsible for the release and system integration of the BMS Software on xHEV vehicle architectures.
- Work with the cross-functional requirements team to decompose program BMS software requirements that satisfy vehicle level functional objectives
- Cross-functional coordination of SW planning, requirements decomposition, integration and validation efforts with internal and external stakeholders in order to meet critical program milestones
- Lead coordination of BMS SW CDR reviews internally and with the supplier.
- Provide program deliverables on time per major development milestones.
- Lead PDT meetings with suppliers and internal stakeholders to manage, track and resolve critical issues. Coordinate BMS change management (CCD, CN, IAA, PER).
- BSME, BSEE, BSCE - Minimum 1 year experience
- Understanding of Energy Storage Systems and Vehicle Electrification
- Good Analytical and Problem Solving Skills - Familiar electrification architectures including EV, HEV, PHEV and BSG systems
- Highly Motivated with Self Motivation

Maintain and evolve the solution architecture for personalized offers, loyalty integrations and related systems, ensuring alignment with enterprise and domain architecture standards.

Translate functional requirements into scalable, secure, and resilient technical designs leveraging Azure services, event-driven architecture, and API-first principles.

Define and document integration patterns, system interactions, and data flow diagrams for core loyalty capabilities.

Develop and review solution blueprints, HLFDs, and technical architecture deliverables.

Ensure code quality through code reviews, reusable design patterns, and performance optimization.

Evaluate trade-offs between architecture options based on performance, cost, maintainability, and delivery speed.

What you have to offer:
10+ years of experience in application design, systems integration and solution architecture with a strong track record in cloud-native environments.
Expertise in Microsoft Azure including services like: App Services, Azure Functions, API Management, ACR, Cosmos DB, Event Grid, Application Gateway, and Key Vault.
Strong understanding of microservices, API-first design, distributed systems, and event-driven architecture.
Strong understanding of security best practices
Experience collaborating across multiple delivery teams and influencing without direct authority.
Ability to simplify complex technical concepts; balance immediate needs with long-term scalability and platform growth
Thrives in ambiguity and can architect for scale, resilience, and flexibility.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum and SAFe environments.
Familiarity with personalized offer systems and loyalty programs is a strong plus.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (Bicep, ARM, Terraform), and container orchestration (Kubernetes, ARO) is an asset.
Preferred Qualifications
Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (strongly preferred).
Bacheloru2019s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
TOGAF or other enterprise architecture framework certification.

In this exciting Pre-Sales role, you will work between Evertz clients, Account Managers, R&D Engineers, Project Managers, and Executive Management to completely architect, design and document the requirements for Evertz end-to-end Software Defined Video Networking (SDVN) solutions for broadcast and media facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with the account management team to define and document the scope of IP Broadcasting systems based on Evertz technologies
- Assist customers and sales staff with selecting the right Evertz product/technology to meet end application needs
- Understand competitive offerings and position Evertz solutions to take maximum advantage of key differentiators and be able to present that confidently to our customers
- Refine system designs and provide accompanying documentation/requirements captures to help drive development of final specifications and contract terms
- Take the lead on proposal creation and refinement
- Collaborate with R&D on system designs and compliance documentation for RFI/RFP responses
- Identify and manage project risks/gaps by clearly stating assumptions and working with clients/internal resources to mitigate risks in advance of project deployment.
- Work with clients and internal resources to design, develop, document and execute on critical demonstrations/Proof of Concept's (POC's) of Evertz products and technologies
- Ensure all documentation (drawings, quotes, requirement captures) are in place to hand the project over to Deployment Teams once the opportunity has been won
- Travel as required to client sites
Qualifications:
- Education in Electronics/Electrical/Computers/Television Broadcasting/Technical Copywriting or related field
- Experience designing projects that have been implemented in a broadcast solution environment
- Working knowledge of broadcast automation, device control, signal flow as well as media management and desk top workflow
- Experience with Broadcast IT with network infrastructure an asset
- Operational or Engineering experience working in a broadcast type facility
- Knowledge of current digital video compression standards and file types
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and manage deadlines in a fast paced sales environment
- Experience with Jira, Confluence and Visio also an asset
