Architecture Design:

  • Build and validate architectures for hybrid environments including Direct Connect, Storage Gateway, Transit Gateway, and integrated identity/security solutions.

Migration Leadership:

  • Drive the solutioning and proposal phase of AWS migration programs (e.g., OLA → MAP → WAFR), including strategy, cost modeling, and technical planning.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Serve as the primary interface for AWS field teams in Toronto and act as a trusted advisor to customer technical and business stakeholders.

Proposal Development:

  • Own SoWs, RFPs, architecture diagrams, and internal approvals for hybrid/migration projects.

Best Practice Sharing:

  • Mentor peers, build reusable assets (playbooks, templates), and contribute to internal enablement content.

What we expect of you:

  • 5+ years of experience architecting and delivering AWS solutions, including hybrid deployments and large-scale migrations.
  • Strong understanding of hybrid cloud components: Direct Connect, Site-to-Site VPN, Active Directory Federation, hybrid networking and storage , and related infrastructure.
  • Proven track record designing and delivering AWS migration solutions (including MAP engagements).
  • Knowledge of cloud-native modernization patterns (replatform, refactor, containers, IaC).
  • Deep understanding of the AWS Well-Architected Framework and governance best practices.
  • Experience collaborating directly with AWS field teams and enterprise clients.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; able to lead both technical and executive discussions.
  • Willingness to travel within Canada as needed for client meetings and field engagements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional (required)
  • Additional certifications (e.g., Networking Specialty, Security Specialty) an asset
  • Experience in regulated industries (finance, healthcare, public sector)
