We are seeking a skilled and professional AZ Roll Off and Lugger Driver to join our Transportation team starting at 6:00am, Monday-Friday with a rotating Saturday every 4-6 weeks. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of metal materials to and from client sites and other AIM facilities.
What you’re responsible for:
- Operating an AZ Roll Off Truck to transport metal materials to and from designated locations, ensuring compliance with traffic laws and company policies
- Safely loading and unloading metal materials onto the truck using appropriate equipment and secure the load to prevent shifting or damage during transit
- Performing manual tarping if necessary
- Performing routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck, ensuring that it is in good working condition
- Completing accurate and thorough records of deliveries and any other required documentation

- You have a valid AZ driver's license with a clean CVOR and Drivers Abstract
- You have experience driving 18 speed manual transmission (required)
- You have a minimum of 2 years of experience as an AZ Driver

Job Summary
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Driver responsibilities include pick-up and delivery of various construction products throughout Southern Ontario (primarily the GTA). You will be required to perform & record all trip inspections as well as comply with documentation requirements.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks, including Roll-Off trucks and tractor trailers, to transport goods and materials to designated locations
- Perform pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition and comply with safety regulations.
- Safely load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Plan routes and schedules to meet delivery deadlines and optimize efficiency.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while operating commercial vehicles.

- Maintain accurate records of driving hours, mileage, and deliveries to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

- Communicate effectively with customers, dispatchers, and warehouse personnel to coordinate deliveries and address any issues or concerns.

- Perform routine maintenance tasks on vehicles, such as checking fluid levels, inspecting tires, and performing minor repairs.
- Report any mechanical issues or malfunctions to maintenance staff or supervisors for timely repairs.
- Keep vehicles clean and well-maintained to ensure safe and reliable operation.
- Collaborate with dispatchers, supervisors, and other team members to coordinate schedules, resolve issues, and ensure efficient operations.

Qualifications
- Experience operating Roll-Off and Tractor Trailer trucks
- Machinery hauling experience
- Current and valid AZ Driver’s License & Clean Abstract
- Must be able to supply a current, valid (CVOR)
- Strong ability to follow instruction & updated knowledge of various routes in throughout the Greater Toronto Area (GTA)
- Strong ability to work in a team environment
- Able to read, write and speak English fluently
- Professionalism and excellence in customer service

- Flexibility to work nights and weekend as required as well as ability to work in all weather conditions
