**Position function:** Reporting to the Warehouse and Transportation Supervisor of Caldic Canada Inc., the individual will be responsible for customer deliveries and pick-ups for their scheduled run while adhering to all relevant policies and procedures.

**Scope:** The Driver is responsible for operating the assigned Caldic truck and trailer in a safe and appropriate manner. The individual must complete all duties in accordance to the daily scheduled delivery and pick up run while adhering to all relevant policies and procedures. The Driver must apply him/herself in a professional and courteous manner to deliver an exceptional level of service at all points of contact with external and internal customers.

**Key Responsibilities**

- Conduct daily pre-trip & post trip inspections on truck.
- Bring POD copy in the shipping/receiving office upon return.
- Consult the daily run sheet to determine pick-ups and deliveries for the day.
- Fill in tote return form to ensure proper documentation and condition of totes being returned.
- Verify and load merchandise on truck and keep Pad Lock at all times during deliveries.
- Fill in “run sheet” at each delivery or pickup, recording time of arrival, time of departure, customer location and details of delivery.
- Have bill of lading signed by the customer or pick-up location receiver or shipper. Leave signed copy with customer. Keep original signature.
- Responsible to capture, report and submit all truck damages through the Incident report form
- Return signed copies of bill of lading to the Caldic shipping office.
- Always offer good customer service and show courtesy to Caldic customers.
- Records the monthly kilometers of truck to report to fleet rental company as assigned.
- Clean and record on a weekly basis inside the trailer and the cab.
- Contain and clean up minor spills using the spill kit provided with each Caldic commercial truck; Drivers are responsible for ensuring that any used spill kit items are replenished
- Must follow the current GMP procedures.
- Load/ Unload own truck whenever required.
- Complete “vehicle inspection” checklist and submit to shipping/receiving office; Any damages or equipment malfunctions should be repaired by fleet rental company or as directed by Lead Hand
- Do not unload a pest-infected load, transfer totes onto the outside storage trailer.
- Follow all company health, safety, and security policies and procedures, are responsible for adhering to the corporate values.
- Complete all other duties as assigned by Lead Hand/Supervisor
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, GMP’s and HACCP requirements
- Responsible for following Food Safety and Quality requirements as per Prerequisite programs, HACCP plans, CCP monitoring and SQF code

**Knowledge / Skills & Experiences**

- Must possess a valid AZ Class drivers license
- Must be able to operate a commercial truck in a safe and responsible manner
- 1+ Years commercial truck driving experience considered an asset
- Knowledge of the Greater Toronto Area
- Forklift and Walkie certification considered an asset
- Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills

Your Role

As the Delivery Driver, the successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of our finished feed products to customer farm locations in Ontario.  Preference will be given to drivers with agricultural experience.

Day to Day
