**Software Engineer, Localization Engineering**
**Position Overview**
We're seeking a talented Full Stack Software Engineer to strengthen localization capabilities for Autodesk products and content. You'll collaborate with software and content development teams to design, build, and maintain scalable localization tools and processes that support millions of users worldwide.

**Responsibilities**
+ Design, build, and maintain tools, automated workflows, and documentation to support scalable software localization and testing
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy innovative solutions for delivering localized products
+ Evaluate products for international readiness, especially web/mobile applications and cloud services, and provide actionable recommendations
+ Partner with development teams to enhance globalization strategies, ensuring a high-quality international user experience while optimizing stability and cost
+ Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to anticipate future localization needs
+ Provide second-level technical support to supplier engineering teams
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
+ 2+ years of experience in web / cloud application development
+ Proficiency in one or more programming and scripting languages (e.g., Java / C#, Python, Scala, Akka, JavaScript and so on)
+ Experience with microservices architecture and monitoring tools.
+ Understanding of internationalization (i18n) and localization (l10n) for desktop, web, and mobile applications.
+ Familiarity with databases (SQL, MySQL, NoSQL), content management systems, and localization tools (e.g., Passolo, Phrase)
+ Knowledge of process automation and workflow optimization.
+ Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or similar
+ Exposure to AI/ML technologies is a plus

**Responsibilities**
Assist the team with the design and implementation of automation tests for component, integration, and system testing
Assist the team with new approaches to existing/planned testing in relations to automation framework
Provide detailed configuration and descriptions for passing and failing tests
Ensure quality of routine operations process by monitoring and improving the health of the test automation systems and their integration
Support continuous testing practices with the team
Provide support by helping to resolve, triage, and redirect incidents and service requests, as required
Assist the team on various software initiatives, including new deployments, bug fixes, enhancements, and upgrades related to various Commercial-Off-the-Shelf (COTS) applications and their integrations, including highly specialized cash processing solutions
Assist team on various software development life cycle (SDLC) activities, including software development, testing, and deployment
Other activities and deliverables, as required
**Required Qualifications & Skills**
A university degree or college diploma in computer science, engineering, or related discipline
A minimum of three (3) years of demonstrated experience in a Software Developer position.
Demonstrated experience working within technical support teams
Demonstrated experience with Python, Git, MuleSoft, and SQL
**Additional Qualifications**
Demonstrated experience working with COTS applications and system integrations
Demonstrated knowledge of Agile / Scrum and/or DevOps

Software Developer will work closely with business stakeholders and other engineering team members to design and develop solutions that make them a true technology partner. They will also be actively participating in technical implementations of our systems and product.

Things You'll Do: 

This position will be a hands-on development role in which the software engineer will design and develop our product. Areas impacted include overall technical solutions, system Analysis, software Architecture, development, reporting and implementation of large-scale solutions and/or applications spanning multiple product lines, Cloud and other related areas of the company. Additional areas include code reviews of other engineers if necessary, and solution documentation. In addition, understands the business objectives, processes, and products and how best can be supported by technology; Participates in reviews and validation of the detailed technical design for business applications and products.

Things You'll Bring:

● 2+ years of overall software development experience

● Minimum of 3 years’ experience in software design & development, scripting and unit testing; proven experience developing large-scale database-driven applications a plus

● Technical expertise in distributed system architecture, design, and development

● Backend: Go, Python, C++ and Perl is a plus

● Frontend: JavaScript, CSS, Bootstrap, React, Vue, Webpack, and HTML

● Experience working with relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL) and

Compensation:
Perceptyx is focused on equitable pay for all our staff and aims for transparency with our pay practices. The annual salary range for the role is 130,000-185,000 CAD The above salary range represents the expected base salary range for this position. As a Software Developer, you will lead and manage the design system development for analytical systems, focusing on aerodynamics, structures, dynamics, and performance. You will develop solutions that enhance productivity for the engineering and enterprise community, utilizing optimization technology and multi-physics analysis. Providing technical leadership in software engineering, design systems architecture, and analytical methodology development will also be key responsibilities. This role requires driving projects from inception to completion, ensuring successful implementation.

Work Environment

The team is split between Montreal and Toronto, with 18 people distributed across Mississauga and Montreal sites. The position requires on-site work for 5 days a week, with core working hours from 9 AM to 4 PM. You will be part of a research-based team, allowing you to explore new technologies for enhancing internal software tool development for airplane engines. The environment encourages analytical thinking and developing methods for best coding practices.
