We are looking to hire an
Azure Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will work as part of a team that helps lead initiatives and projects toward deployment and success.


This role is based in our Markham, Ontario offices on sunny, green Allstate Parkway. We are conveniently located near Highway 404, with a direct connection to the Don Valley Parkway (DVP). The communities of Richmond Hill, Aurora, Newmarket, Scarborough, and north Toronto are located very close to our offices. We are focused on team participation and commit to working a Full-Time schedule in our Markham office.

Summary


The Azure Engineer will be responsible for assisting with the architecture, provisioning, design, and implementation of Azure hybrid cloud and cloud-native solutions utilizing Azures commercial infrastructure, platform, and software as a service (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) offering.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Set up hybrid connectivity for on-site and Azure environments
  • Manage cloud environments in compliance with the organizations security policies
  • Develop solutions integrating Microsoft Azure clouds with services hosted on-premises
  • Define and record the best methods and tactics for deploying applications and maintaining infrastructure
  • Consult, design, and document MDM environments
  • Assist in designing and putting place Azure data protection features, define and implement Azure cloud-based solution architectures
  • Assist in implementing, configuring, and supporting Office 365 and M365 security solutions
  • Azure AD Developer/support experience for the development and configuration of Azure AD along with integration with applications.

Education and/or Experience

Five years related professional experience; or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, and work experience.


Technical and/or Domain Knowledge

To perform this job successfully, an individual should demonstrate in-depth knowledge and understanding of and experience with the following:


  • Migration and modernization of workloads from on-premises data centers to Azure
  • Experience with the Azure CLI, PowerShell/Azure PowerShell, and the Azure Portal
  • Strong Skills with Azure, AWS, VMware, MS Servers, and networking required
  • Knowledge of Office 365, monitoring systems, and databases
  • Strong understanding of Kubernetes architecture with hands-on experience in deploying, configuring, and managing Kubernetes clusters in Microsoft Azure.
  • Proven experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), including cluster scaling, monitoring, networking, and security best practices.

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Azure Cloud Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure and applications on Microsoft Azure . The ideal candidate will have expertise in Azure services, automation, security, and DevOps practices. This role requires close collaboration with development, operations, and architecture teams to deliver secure, scalable, and cost-efficient cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and manage cloud infrastructure and applications on Microsoft Azure .

  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, ARM Templates, or Bicep .

  • Deploy, configure, and manage Azure services such as Azure Virtual Machines, Azure App Services, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions, Blob Storage, VNETs, and Azure Active Directory .

  • Automate deployment and management tasks using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Python .

  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins .

  • Monitor and troubleshoot system performance, availability, and cost optimization.

  • Ensure compliance with the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework and security best practices .

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of networking (DNS, VPN, Load Balancers, Firewalls, NSG).

We are looking for a Build/Release/DevOps Engineer with a strong foundation in tooling, automation, and collaborative DevOps practices.
