Job Requirements

  • Completion of an undergraduate program with specialization in finance is required;

  • Prior experience in infrastructure advisory is required;

  • Minimum one year of full-time work experience is required;

  • Exceptional academic results (minimum cGPA of 80% or 3.7/4.0);

  • Ability to concisely communicate complex concepts and ideas verbally and in writing;

  • Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision;

LendCare is seeking a motivated and analytical Banking Treasury Analyst that thrives in a fast-paced environment. The primary responsibilities of this position will be to complete daily reconciliations and reports on various bank accounts, in an accurate manner. The incumbent will be responsible for the compilation and preparation of period end working papers for assigned accounts across any of goeasy’s entities.

What will you be doing?

  • Prepare and thoroughly review bank reconciliations across various payment types to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain organized digital records and system files, while enhancing documentation and streamlining operational workflows.
  • Accurately record journal entries in the ERP system to reflect activity and outages.
  • Sustain proactive and effective reporting and interdepartmental communication.
  • Cross-training with and supporting Team Members when necessary.
  • Resolve inquiries from banking partners and internal stakeholders with clarity and professionalism.
  • Process treasury payments using banking platforms.
  • Display ownership of assigned tasks, following up diligently to ensure resolution and accountability.

What experience do you have?

  • 2-3 years of accounting experience
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particular Excel – experience with VLookup, Pivot Tables, Concatenate and other data analysis formulas
  • Experience with Microsoft D365 would be an asset
  • Strong understanding of standard accounting concepts, practices and procedures
  • Robust reconciliation expertise
  • Excellent written and oral skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy,
  • Ability to meet critical deadlines in a timely and effective manner
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Banking / Retail / Treasury experience would be an asset

  • Preparing client presentations and participating in discussions

  • Assisting the senior team in the evaluation of investment opportunities and management of existing investments

Your Skills and Experience

  • An undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, commerce, business, statistics, computer science, engineering, mathematics, or other related areas

  • Entering your penultimate year of study (i.e. graduation by summer 2027)

  • Exceptional academic results (minimum cGPA of 80% or 3.7/4.0)

  • Ability to concisely communicate complex concepts and ideas verbally and in writing

  • Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision

  • Desire to assume increasing levels of responsibility and seek solutions to complex problems

+ Support RMs by providing day-to-day account management support with the goal of acting in the capacity of a secondary point of customer contact
+ Assist the Canadian GRM team in expanding MUFG Canada's market presence by analyzing new business opportunities and prospective clients
+ Prepare materials for and attend meetings with clients (CFOs, Treasurers, investment teams, etc.) to discuss periodic relationship updates and matters of business development, including highlighting MUFG's product capabilities and credentials, both locally and globally
+ Manage & monitor the end-to-end deal process for new and ongoing transactions, including:
+ Prepare deal screening memos and provide support to credit teams o Coordinate with product and sponsor coverage groups to assist in the execution of transactions
+ Execute operational duties with regards to credit transactions (loan documentation review, new client onboarding processes, and ensuring compliance with ongoing Know-Your-Client requirements)
+ Liaise with overseas branches, middle- and back-office, planning teams, etc.
+ Act as a primary point of contact for internal banking matters and for MUFG's global banking initiatives
+ Oversee the progress of local and global transactions (including tracking credit exposures and revenues, where applicable) in order to create and maintain internal deal pipelines for use at the Canada, Americas, and global levels
+ Maintain proactive, in-depth, and up-to-the-minute knowledge of customer developments and market trends; work towards providing value-added information to initiate new business opportunities and client outreach
+ Strong interpersonal, credit or financial analysis, and financial modelling skills
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, etc.)
+ Proficiency in external research platforms (Bloomberg, FactSet, etc.)
+ 1 to 2 years of prior finance/banking, credit, capital markets, and/or general financial analysis experience required
+ BCom/BBA or equivalent degree required
+ CFA or CFP progress or completion
