What you will be doing:
Reporting to the Director of Banquets, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Provide prompt, courteous and efficient food & beverage service in accordance with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts food & beverage standards
- Work as part of a team to provide a consistently high standard of service in areas such as meeting set ups and all meal functions
- Effectively handle guest concerns through empowerment, and report any irregularities to Leader
- Report any deficiencies in equipment or level of supplies to the Banquet Captains
- Ensure the equipment and all work areas are maintained to hotel standard
- Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times
- Compliance with all safety regulations of assigned tasks, and ensure a clean and safe working environment with active participation in the hotel health and safety program
- Carry out any other tasks as assigned
Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):
- Constant standing and walking throughout shift.
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
- Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting.
- Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps.
Your experience and skills include:
- Minimum 1 year in a similar function in Food & Beverage, preferably Banquets or Conventions
- Post-Secondary education in Hotel/Food and Beverage Management an asset
- Self‑motivated, with the ability to make effective decisions
- Demonstrates initiative, and the ability to multitask and work with minimal supervision
- Ability to maintain high service levels under pressure
- Physically fit to lift trays repeatedly, stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
- You may be required to work on holidays, weekends, overnights and other non-day shifts.
- Candidates must be legal to serve alcohol in Alberta (18 years of age) and must possess ProServe certification

Hourly Rate Range: $6.52 - 17.51 CAD Gross per hour
