The agency currently requires:
Casual Part-Time, Clinical Therapists.
You are seeking:
- A dynamic professional opportunity to provide support under the supervision of the Clinical Support Team and the Program Manager. The Clinical Therapist will work directly with people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to deliver Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) services and supports.

We are seeking:
- An innovative individual with experience working with children and youth with complex behaviour and mental health needs.
- The preferred candidate has experience working with youth with ASD in a caregiver mediated model of intervention.
- Provide intervention supports in a variety of areas, including home, centre, or daycare/community.
- Follow and implement approved support plans to address identified behaviours.
- Ensure documentation is prepared and that relevant reports are developed and submitted for Behaviour Analyst review within established timelines.
- Administer appropriate assessment tools, under the guidance of the overseeing Behaviour Analyst.
- Interact and coach/counsel families as per the therapy/treatment plan and schedule.
- Report any serious occurrences or concerns to the Program Manager.
- Maintain the confidentiality of all client information in accordance with agency policy and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Three (3) year college diploma in a Behavioural Sciences program or related field with the Autism Behavioural Sciences Certificate an asset.
- Current CPR and First Aid Certificates, and non-violet crisis intervention is mandatory.
- Afternoon and evening availability is required.

About the Role:
CASA Mental Health Classrooms are CASA’s new model for school-based mental health service. The program addresses the need for services closer to students by bridging a child’s mental health and school needs, through a coordinated approach by a mental health team and a teacher. CASA Classrooms are delivered in partnership with the Government of Alberta, community partners and school divisions.
The Mental Health Therapist will:
- Work with the CASA team and external supports to provide high-quality, trauma-focused mental health therapies to children, teens and families.
- Complete mental health assessments, design treatment plans and provide multi-modality therapy for students.
- Help caregivers with children who have exceptional needs build specialized parenting skills.
- Formulate diagnoses as appropriate, using the DSM-5-TR and other diagnostic tools.
- Conduct case management functions, including convening case conferences and liaising with CASA therapists and psychiatrists, community services and other professionals involved with the child and their family.
- Coordinate consultation with others therapists or external partners as appropriate.
- Supervise and/or precept student placements.
- Contribute to staff knowledge and understanding of discipline-specific issues.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in psychology, social work or occupational therapy, or, a bachelor’s degree in social work or a related discipline such as psychology or social sciences, with a minimum of three years of related experience in an educational or mental health setting.
- Active registration and in good standing with Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW), College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP) or Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT).
- A minimum of two years of clinical practice in child and family mental health and/or youth addictions.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
Conditions of Employment
- A satisfactory Criminal Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Search and Child Intervention Check. This would be the financial responsibility of the successful candidate.
- Ability to pass and maintain Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) certification (training provided by CASA) or Supporting Individuals through Valued Attachments (SIVA) training, as well as physical ability to perform all interventions.

About the Role

- Master’s degree in psychology, social work or occupational therapy, or, a bachelor’s degree in social work or a related discipline such as psychology or social sciences, with a minimum of three years of related experience in an educational or mental health setting.
- Active registration and in good standing with Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW), College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP) or Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT).
- A minimum of two years clinical practice in child and family mental health and/or youth addictions
- Access to cultural and spiritual knowledge and training is provided.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
- A satisfactory Criminal Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Search and Child Intervention Check. This would be the financial responsibility of the successful candidate.
- Must maintain Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) certification (training provided by CASA) and be physically able to perform all interventions.
