The Americas Business Development Fintech team supports Fintech and traditional co-brand partners across the US, Canada and LAC and is responsible for cultivating new business with current and new partners.
The BD Team is specifically responsible for driving Mastercard market share by successfully winning new business deals (new to market and flips from competitive networks) and supporting renewal of existing deals for Mastercard.
The team works across functions within Mastercard (account management, digital, issuer, merchant, marketing, D&S, finance, legal) to bring the best of Mastercard to our potential partners. The role is goaled on driving new revenue and GDV for Mastercard and selling relevant bundled services to support partner success.
About the role:
In this role you'll support the team in identifying new business opportunities, building client relationships, and helping drive growth across the fintech co-brand market. This is a great opportunity to learn from experienced professionals and contribute to meaningful projects across all payment products (i.e., credit, debit, prepaid, SMB, etc.). Key responsibilities include:
Assist in maintaining up-to-date research on key trends, potential clients, industries, and market trends.
Help prepare presentations, proposals, and reports for internal and external use.
Support the team in coordinating meetings, tracking follow-ups, and maintaining Salesforce, Ironclad and pipeline data and reporting.
Participate in brainstorming sessions and team discussions to explore new ideas.
Collaborate and build relationships with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution of business development initiatives. (i.e., Finance, Product, Data and Services, Marketing, Law & Franchise, issuer, fintech and regional Partnership Teams, etc.).
Note: as a supporting role, this role will not have direct sales targets.

What We Need:

  • Hold an undergraduate/bachelor’s degree; preference to a business degree;
  • Have 3-8 years of work experience in marketing;
  • Present yourself in a polished appearance in a formal business environment;
  • Have the ability to articulate clearly in both written and verbal settings and be the master of attention to detail;
  • Get excited about design and be forward-thinking in your approach;
  • Have a business mindset;

This role is ideal for someone who is creative, organized, and passionate about helping build and maintain a strong brand presence across multiple channels. The Brand Marketing Assistant will work closely with the marketing team to execute campaigns, create engaging content, and ensure brand consistency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and execution of brand marketing campaigns.

  • Support the creation of marketing materials, presentations, and digital assets.

  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities.

  • Manage and update social media platforms, ensuring consistent brand messaging.

  • Assist with event planning, product launches, and promotional activities.

  • Monitor campaign performance and prepare reports with actionable insights.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure brand alignment across all channels.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.

  • Previous experience (internship or entry-level role) in marketing, branding, or advertising preferred.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

  • Basic knowledge of digital marketing, social media, and branding principles.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar).

  • Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
