The role will also participate in key projects and initiatives ensuring information and operations risk is always considered and managed, and will work with other teams including Information Security, Information Protection and Vendor Risk Management to provide comprehensive Information Risk Management to the company.
**Position Responsibilities:**
+ Provide support for business resilience, continuity and system recovery efforts, aligning with Manulife's new resiliency model.
+ Participate in key projects and initiatives, ensuring that resiliency risk is consistently considered and handled.
+ Collaborate with business and technology teams to achieve business resilience goals while safeguarding our ability to deliver business operations during disruptions.
+ Support continuity test planning, execution and reporting with business and technology partners
+ Support L2 and L3 reviews of resilience program practices
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Up to 2 years of experience in business resilience/ continuity or Project Management from a large, complex organization.
+ Strong personal computing skills (MS Office) and familiarity with business resilience planning tools and/or relational databases (e.g., Fusion Risk Management, Archer, PowerBI).
+ Broad understanding of Business Resilience methodologies and techniques.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to develop and deliver effective user education sessions and presentations.
+ Demonstrable ability to build relationships, engage, and influence others.
+ Knowledge of OSFI resilience requirements is an advantage.
+ Willingness to learn from more senior members of the team

The Disaster Recovery (DR) Lead is responsible for leading the strategy, development, planning and execution of enterprise-wide disaster recovery programs. This role ensures Sobeys technology infrastructure and critical systems can be restored effectively in the event of an outage or disaster. Key Responsibilities:
Own the design, implementation, and maintenance of Sobeys disaster recovery (DR) strategy, policies, and plans.
Oversee the development of system-specific recovery procedures and run-books across applications, platforms, and infrastructure.
Lead regular disaster recovery testing, including full failover, tabletop exercises, and scenario-based simulations.
Partner with infrastructure and cloud teams to ensure replication, backup, and failover solutions meet defined RTOs/RPOs.
Conduct business impact analyses (BIAs) and risk assessments to inform recovery priorities and DR scope.
Track remediation plans and ensure recovery gaps identified during testing or audits are closed in a timely manner.
Collaborate with Business Continuity Planning (BCP), Cybersecurity, Risk, and Compliance teams to ensure an integrated resilience strategy.
Maintain DR documentation to support audit readiness and regulatory compliance (e.g., ISO 22301, NIST, SOC 2).
Lead DR response efforts during major incidents or outages, coordinating technical recovery and stakeholder communication.
Manage third-party vendors, contracts, and tools supporting DR operations.

Experience:
7+ years of experience in disaster recovery, IT continuity, or infrastructure operations.
2+ years in a leadership, management, or program ownership role.
Bacheloru2019s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Risk Management, or equivalent experience.
Hands-on experience with DR design, implementation, and testing in complex enterprise environments.
Demonstrated background in disaster recovery planning and execution specific to the retail industry
Technical Knowledge:

Position Summary:
The Disaster Recovery (DR) Lead is responsible for leading the strategy, development, planning and execution of enterprise-wide disaster recovery programs. This role ensures Sobeys technology infrastructure and critical systems can be restored effectively in the event of an outage or disaster. The DR Lead partners closely with IT, cybersecurity, business units, and risk functions to align recovery capabilities with business needs, compliance requirements, and evolving threats.

Key Responsibilities:
Own the design, implementation, and maintenance of Sobeys disaster recovery (DR) strategy, policies, and plans.
Oversee the development of system-specific recovery procedures and run-books across applications, platforms, and infrastructure.
Lead regular disaster recovery testing, including full failover, tabletop exercises, and scenario-based simulations.
Partner with infrastructure and cloud teams to ensure replication, backup, and failover solutions meet defined RTOs/RPOs.
Conduct business impact analyses (BIAs) and risk assessments to inform recovery priorities and DR scope.
Track remediation plans and ensure recovery gaps identified during testing or audits are closed in a timely manner.
Collaborate with Business Continuity Planning (BCP), Cybersecurity, Risk, and Compliance teams to ensure an integrated resilience strategy.
Maintain DR documentation to support audit readiness and regulatory compliance (e.g., ISO 22301, NIST, SOC 2).
Lead DR response efforts during major incidents or outages, coordinating technical recovery and stakeholder communication.
Manage third-party vendors, contracts, and tools supporting DR operations.

What you have to offer:
Experience:
7+ years of experience in disaster recovery, IT continuity, or infrastructure operations.
2+ years in a leadership, management, or program ownership role.
Bacheloru2019s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Risk Management, or equivalent experience.
Hands-on experience with DR design, implementation, and testing in complex enterprise environments.
Demonstrated background in disaster recovery planning and execution specific to the retail industry
Technical Knowledge:
Solid understanding of backup and recovery solutions (e.g., Veeam, Zerto, Commvault, Azure Site Recovery).
Familiarity with virtual infrastructure, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), networking, and storage systems.
Knowledge of risk, compliance, and governance standards (ISO 22301, NIST, COBIT, ITIL).
Experience with SAP and other enterprise applications
Certifications (Preferred):
ITIL Foundation or Practitioner
Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRII) certification
Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP)
CISSP or equivalent for cybersecurity-aligned DR

Excellent communication and stakeholder management, including executive reporting.
Strong vendor management skills.
Analytical mindset with the ability to assess risk and translate technical issues into business impact.

Disaster Recovery Technician
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
The Disaster Recovery Technician position is a career in field services in the property damage restoration industry, primarily responsible for responding to emergency and property damaging situations. Our team addresses the property and the customer with skill, knowledge, and professionalism while preserving as much of the property as possible while working safely and efficiently on the job site. IICRC certifications are available as IICRC classes are offered
- Work safely in residential and commercial properties that have been damaged by fire, water, storm, and/or mold
- Survey damage within the property
- Evaluate and record damage to all items within the property
- Assist with the completion of supply orders for the contents division
- Submit daily time sheets and code job hours to the supervisor
- Complete cleaning processes for both contents and structural damage assigned jobs
- Complete and file documentation on contents and laundry jobs
- Complete notes of assigned jobs in our primary operating system (RMS)
- Take photos of jobs assigned at the start, completion, and throughout the process
- Keep equipment clean and organized in the shop
- Responsible for unloading trash in assigned areas
- Perform initial site visits
- Set restoration equipment within guidelines
- Knowledge of technology (iPhone, iPad, computer)
- Customer Service Skills
- Ability to learn and operate our primary operating system: RMS
- Ability to create documents
- Ability to answer and communicate with customers over the phone and face to face
- Ability to work independently and / or with a team
- Ability to participate in an on-call schedule
